I bought this to have a spare burner for my portable solar generator build. It works fine and gets a pot of water hot. I’m happy with the quality with the burner. Pros: reasonable price, ceramic plate, water boils fast, and appears to be well made. Very light in weight. You can use any type of pots. Easy to use with a knob control. Cons: since it’s not an induction heating plate…..the unit gets very hot and takes some time to cool down. Not pleasing to the eye compared to a more expensive induction burners. I live in an old mid-20th century home that HAS A/C but the ventilation setup leaves A LOT to be desired: My kitchen is on the other side of this 'ranch' home and by the time the cool air gets there... I barely notice. So I needed a solution to cooking outdoors for "summer" months when temperatures are 110°+. Fortunately, I have several MASSIVE trees in a yard that receives "flood irrigation" so I have plenty of shade outdoors All Day Long; and though IT IS D****ED HOT outside, with this groovy 'hot plate' set up on a table outdoors and I can do WHATEVER cooking activities that would otherwise make my kitchen uncomfortably "warm" for hours-on-end recovering from meal-prep activities. This 'hot plate' product is well-made. (I DIDN'T JUST open the box and write a review like so many seem to do. I waited to see how well – or not – it actually worked first. I've been using it now for several months.) The hot plate is stable on any flat, table-like surface. The temperature controls span smoothly from "warm" to "HOT" as you might want. (I have cooked MASSIVE pots of soup on this thing and have had all the control I might require with various recipes that need More or Less heat throughout the cooking process. I have as much control with this little 'hot plate' as I do on my kitchen stove!) It just works! Happy-Happy (when I am SO OFTEN DISAPPOINTED by products I order here at Amazon or buy from some bricks-and-mortar store I also make purchases from). *Very Fair Price for what you get.* ... show more

It fits perfect on my kitchen counter. The heat distribution is just perfect, so it does not burn the bottom of my pans. It cleans very easy Just wipe down with soap and water. ⭐ 1 Star – Serious Safety Issue This stove has a serious safety problem and is unsafe to use. The power indicator light does not turn on, which already raises concerns about whether the unit is functioning properly. Even more alarming, the bottom of the stove becomes extremely hot during use. The excessive heat damaged my countertop and creates a significant fire hazard. Because of this defect, I had to stop using the stove immediately to avoid further damage or potential injury. I am very disappointed with this product and would not recommend it to anyone. Safety should be a basic requirement, and this stove fails to meet that standard. ... show more
