The vacuum did not come in the original box, which didn't bother me, but appears to be new and never used. Very clean and works great vacuuming both my hard floors and carpet. It was missing the wand attachment tool for suctioning in tighter areas which would have been nice to have. It appears that this wand attachment should have come with the vacuum had it been new. The only thing that could've made me happier with this purchase is if it came with more attachments. Otherwise, it is perfect. It works wonderful on both my hardwood floors and on my rugs. After not having a good vacuum for over a year I had to use it 2-3 times on my rugs to get them thoroughly clean and the difference was spectacular. It works - but it's the stripped down model - went to check filter and clean it and a small part broke - a spring and small part fell off - seems to work with out them but I've had other Sharks before and for some reason this one just isn't as nice or well made as the others.
