Great vacuum! I must admit I ordered FOUR prior to this one and sent them all back. I have hardwood floors with several large area rugs and the prior vacuums sucked them all up. However, this vacuum is powerful but is on little wheels which helps prevent it from sucking up my area rugs. I also have two dogs and it’s great picking up the hair as well. I've owned this vacuum for about five years now. And I must say I've been a terrible vacuum owner, I've never changed or washed the filters like I should have and it has continued to work really well. It gets the fine dust off my hard wood floors and sucks up my long hair without getting tangled. The battery lasts multiple vacuum sessions with a mix of full house 1400sqft and quick mess sessions. I charge it maybe every couple weeks. It takes a while to charge but it's usually very low when I do it. It's super simple to work and has worked amazingly and it still going. Decided to write a review while I was looking up my vacuum to finally order new filters. Very durable, lightweight enough and has never clogged from hair. For how long it has lasted (and continues to live) it is worth the money. ... show more

I went into this purchase. Not expecting this vacuum to be a strong as my corded vacuum, but I live in an old house with narrow staircases and it's a pain to haul a vacuum up and down stairs, so I mostly just leave this one upstairs. With that in mind, it's a pretty nice little vacuum. I would not want it to be my primary vacuum, but it works well as a backup. The battery length is pretty good, and it does have reasonably powerful suction. Although again, not as good as my regular corded vacuum. It does does best on flat surfaces and struggles with anything textured like entryway mats etc. I have multiple cats and so I mostly am vacuuming for litter and cat hair and it does pretty well at getting both of those things. The roller brush does get jammed fairly easily and it's mildly a pain to clean, there's not an easy way to snap it off, so in terms of design, I wish they had designed it to easily open for cleaning since periodically it loses suction power and needs to be cleaned before it'll work well again. But overall, it is really nice as a backup and I've been fairly impressed with it for a cordless vacuum. ... show more

I have been a "vacuum connoisseur" since I was a teenager - my Mom kept a clean house and I inherited her enjoyment of a clean house. Vacuuming is my favorite house chore - it actually relaxes me, so I always enjoy having a great vacuum that is easy to use. Right now, we have four doggos - Husky/GSD/Malamute mix, Husky/GSD/Dingo mix, GSD/Cattledog mix, and a purebred Carolina Dog (American Dingo). As you can imagine - we have a LOT of fur around here. My dogs literally shed twice a year - six months in the spring and six months in the fall. :) I vacuum the entire house at least once a day and sometimes twice. I've had several cordless vacs - two from Dyson, one from Bissell, and two from Shark. The Dysons were dismal at picking up fur, and the Bissell was worse. And don't even get me started on the robot vacuums - we have had four (Roombas, Bobi, and Eufy) - completely ineffective and a waste of money. I got my first Shark Rocket Pet Pro vacuum in 2017, and I can't say enough about it! I have vacuumed up tons of fur with it, and it has always had great suction, great power, and it's easy to keep it clean. I just replace the filters on it every month or two, and that's all the maintenance it needs. That poor vacuum died last week (through no fault of its own). I spent three days researching cordless vacuums, and kept coming back to the Shark Rocket Pet Pro. I bought a second to replace the first, and am still in love with this vacuum. Bonus: The new one that I bought has the upgraded handle with the hook for the motor, so it can stand on its own and be easily stored. The ONLY issue I have with this vacuum (and it's not a huge problem): The self-cleaning brushroll is AMAZING! But - I have to stop once in a while and pull a ball of white Husky fur out of the floor attachment - the hole behind the brushroll that takes the debris up the long rod to the dustcup gets clogged (I tried to show a picture of it). When this gets blocked, the vacuum won't pick anything up. Again, not a deal breaker, especially with the self-cleaning brushroll, but it is the one less-than-perfect aspect of this unit. And I'm probably the only one in the world with this issue, because I have my beautiful fur-factory doggos running around here. :) Overall, I adore this cordless vac and will recommend it to everyone! ... show more

I’m so glad I took a chance and purchased this vacuum. It’s lightweight, holds a charge for a long time, and is so easy to maneuver around furniture. It picks up dog hair and everything else too. It also picks up along the baseboards, which is not something I expected. I have laminate floors, so I can’t comment on how it performs on carpet. If you have trouble managing a heavy vacuum, I think this would be a perfect solution for you. I bought this on Prime Day, and I do recommend not paying full price because it is not a heavy-duty vacuum. For what I paid and for its performance and ease of use, it deserves five stars. ... show more

I have used this vacuum for a year now .. At first I really liked this vacuum worked great, light weight, battery lasted okay, the suction was good not great but good, the size is good as well, but the power head of the vacuum started to make noise and it wasn't sucking as well anymore, so I thought maybe the belt needed replacing.. I go to see were to replace the belt ( because belts don't last for ever right) I remove the plate by turning the key screws and to my surprise you cant remove the brush or change the belt. I mean you can if you want to purchase a special screw driver to remove the metric screws and tare the whole thing apart .. So I called shark asking how to do this , you cant , you can replace the power head for a 130 dollar .. OMG Shark really pretty jerky if you ask me .. Another problem that frustrates me is, this is a pet vacuum right. I have a long haired dog and lots and lots of pet hair.. I don't have carpet reason for my purchase of this vacuum.. The roller is great with it comes to hair not wrapping around the roller, but what the hair clumps up on is this plastic triangle thing above the roller and it is impossible to clean and I have tried everything , running a towel through it, to using q-tips, nothing gets it out .. so the clear part of the power head gets all gross and ends causing build up .. If you want a one time use kind of vacuum this one is for you.. It will work until the belt breaks , unless they have some kind of magical belt that never breaks, but I doubt it .. On a side note it does have a 5 year limited warranty and the support line said that they will trouble shoot and possible replace the power if needed. I mean if it breaks down they may replace it but why put more stuff in the land fill and not just allow to replace the belt and remove the roller to clean .. I just don't get it ... show more

This vacuum is just adequate for light cleaning and not much more. Suction is not great, using it as a handheld vacuum illustrates how poor the suction actually is. Biggest design flaw is the small rollers on the base. These get clogged almost immediately with pet hair. When that happens, they won't turn and thus can scratch hard floors. Cleaning the hair that is wrapped around the small wheels is difficult. I finally used a small screwdriver to pry them out for a good cleaning. Reinstalling them is a bit tricky as well. Love our other Shark vacs but this one is not very good except for light dusting. ... show more
