This is the second cordless Shark vacuum cleaner that I have purchased. It picks up pet hair and dirt easily. It's lightweight. I have two concerns. Taking the dust chamber off the wand is hard to do. Also the lid on the dust chamber does not always stay shut. If I don't empty it after each use, I wind up having to pick up the dirt that's fallen out of the chamber onto the floor. There are times when I have to close the lids multiple times to get it to stay shut. My other Shark vacuum does not have this problem. ... show more

Very light compared to other cordless vacumes. At first I didn't think it had enough power. Because it isn't very noisy. But it really cleans up dust and dirt really well. And if course. Dog hair. I'm very happy with it.

We bought this vacuum bc it was the newest version of the Shark cordless we had bought, loved, and used to death a few years ago. If we could’ve replaced that exact same type, we would have (for life! I would’ve subscribed to have the purple version delivered to my home every 4 years for life…..it was the best small vacuum I’ve ever had!) What we bought was supposedly the new version of the purple version we had used and loved for years! ….But it’s so much heavier, and also picks up almost nothing. I feel like I’m pushing around a 20lb broom! Whenever I’ve attempted to vacuum out hardwood floors/steps with this vacuum (the old one was AWESOME!!!), it basically just blows the dust and pet hair around. It sort of sweeps it into a pile, but I can’t suck it up no matter whatever level I’m on! This version is also MUCH heavier. I liked the older version bc it was light and portable….easy for things like the steps or front entrance when you don’t want to plug in the large vacuum… The older vaccum was 100% better quality, it just died bc we used it a couple times a week for YEARS. This vacuum….I honestly wonder if it’s a fraud and not the real thing. This vacuum we paid so much money for (bc we knew what we were replacing was worth it), seems like a fraud. It’s sucking up almost nothing after 20 minutes. I loved the old one bc it would be full within 20 minutes twice a week (we have pets). It was digging up stuff I couldn’t see! The new one literally just creates a large pile of hair and dust each time it’s ran….but it doesn’t suck it up. If it’s for real the same company, I hope whatever we got is defective. ... show more

    • Difficult to clean out
The floor vacuum section was very difficult to clean out. If you buy if for pet hair (which was my principal reason for purchasing this), be advised that if you also pick up anything like feathers or pellets (I also have a parrot), it could jamb up in the bottom section of the sweeper. It might not jamb if you are only sweeping up hair. If you are using the hand held attachments, it is fine, although I think the suction isn't that great. ... show more

I am so glad I switched to cordless! This vacuum has slightly less power than its corded counterpart, but the extra suction trigger really helps. It goes over most of my area rugs better than my last vacuum (one set of bath mats is too fluffy and trips the clog sensor). It gets under my furniture better than the last one. It is lighter, and I don’t need to go hunting for outlets. It is easy to empty and clean. Other things to consider: I have a modest house without carpet. I can do a pretty thorough vacuum of the whole house on one charge. Extra deep cleaning (dusting, etc) or a larger house would require a re-charge. The vacuum does not have a way to be hung or hold attachments. I was intending to hang it with my mop and broom, but it has to be taken apart, it will not stand up fully assembled. Overall this was a perfect fit for me and I fully intend to buy this again in the future. ... show more
