This is the best contact paper I've ever used. Other contact papers stretch too much, which leads to bubbles and creases that you can't get out. This one doesn't stretch at all! The bond is extremely strong, which is great for long lasting results, but it also means you should be careful when you're applying it, because once it's on, it's on. Start in one corner and lay it down slowly. It CAN be peeled off to start over, but it's pretty difficult. I was applying it to wood. I would imagine if you tried to peel it off of a painted surface, it would peel the paint off. Finally, the glossy finish makes it easy to wipe clean! ... show more

I purchased this for the sit to stand desk that I recently got to dress it up a bit and couldn't be happier with how it turned out! The contact paper is thick and great quality. It does not easily tear and easy to install! Adhesion is amazing! Easy peel yet, would stick again with no problem! Glossy finish and seemless look! INSTALLATION TIPS: PLAN BEFORE YOU STICK. Cut your materials and lay it how you want it first and give enough room for edges. CLEAN YOUR AREA. Wipe with a cleaner or whatever you wanna use but wipe it dry with a microfiber cloth so you don't have small particles laying around as this will leave bubbles. START IN THE BACK! So you can get a feel for how to install it. How you want your corners folded etc. STAY CALM & BE PATIENT. Things can get overwhelming easily specially if youre working on a bigger space. Keep things neat and apply small sections only to avoid wrinkles or bubbles. ROLL IT! Roll the piece that you're going to use the other way so you'll have better control while applying. Roll carefully so you dont create creases and folds. This will appear on your desk and hard to smooth out. PEEL IT. Peel small sections only! I peel abt 2 inches at a time. I carefully apply the adhesive part on the corner of my desk allowing extra inchb to be folded underneath. WIPE IT. Use microfiber cloth to wipe as you apply. Wipe with pressure but carefully. I wipe as I go meaning I've got pressure on my left hand while wiping on up and down motion to smooth out any bubbles while peeling the back paper with my right hand. ROLL IT AGAIN. Roll back paper (the one on your right hand) as you go so you have less clutter. CUT IT. Cut a small piece to patch the corners of your desk. This will conceal all the folds you have there. Okay let’s start with that the product is stunning. It’s shiny and looks like marble. Super happy with the quality and the look overall. It was a little hard to put it on (I was using it on like a counter top extra table thing and two chairs that go with it). I don’t know if I just don’t know what I’m doing but I really struggled not to have bubbles and creases. I guess if you know what you’re doing you’ll be super happy with the result! ... show more

I used this to revamp my office desk. It’s easy to use and sticks well. Very affordable. I have 0 complaints ! This little project of mine is still pending, but I have provided a photo for reference. Happy DIY’ing.

    • Beautiful but...

I bought the 24x118 to cover the melamine top of a new desk. My overall rating is based a lot on the description of the product saying it was for kitchen countertops (i.e. would need to be durable for such a use). This is a beautiful white marble look (the steaks aren't perfectly gray which I like, it probably makes it look more realistic/dimensional but just FYI). I'm fairly particular and the look is acceptably realistic for me. It is glossy and looks real from a slight distance. It does appear to be water proof (or water resistant, I dripped water on it today and it pooled up but I cleaned it right up). I installed it two days ago and it hasn't changed much (so not coming up but also not looking better). It did NOT want to go over the edges. I suspect over time it's going to start pulling off the edges. It especially didn't want to go around the curved corner of the desk (it's an l-shaped desk so the corner is a smooth curve, not 90-degree angle). Luckily I can't see the mess it made and it's a home office so no one else is seeing it, either. The big issues for me are I could not get all the bubbles out, with a plastic smoothing tool or my hands. I got a rip as I was installing it so not as durable as I'd expect. As I was attaching my sit/stand desk adapter today, it ripped when the keyboard shelf came down in the wrong place and scraped along it. This was not anything particularly rough (it was similar to placing a heavy appliance with a plastic or rubberized edge on it and pulling it off like would happen in a kitchen, hence my rating based on the description). On the plus side, it didn't appear to leave a residue since I did have to pull it up to try and realign it. That's another con-not as easy to install as they claim (not the hardest but it didn't want to give up its curl on the edges no matter what I tried to do and that really complicated installation). This product would be fantastic for some uses but I won't give it five stars based on how they describe it. I absolutely would not recommend it if you're dealing with a curved surface. Maybe if I had taken more time or had a helper I could have gotten it smoothly over the squared edges of the desk but it wasn't going over a curve without being cut (which you would then see). I can't speak to the long-term durability, yet so there's still another issue I'm hoping doesn't make me regret this purchase. ... show more
