I love my new Shark HV343AMZ Rocket Corded Stick Vacuum Cleaner. My husband and I, plus several other friends went to visit another friend of ours in Wyoming. We of course had a wonderful time. To show our appreciation to our lovely host after she so graciously opened up her beautiful home to so many of us, we all pitched in to clean her home before we left, as good friends and guest should always do. We all did our part of cleaning her home. My chore was vacuuming. She had the most amazing corded vacuum cleaner, it was lite weight and easy to handle. It moved from bare floors, to rugs in the kitchen, to fully carpeted bedrooms with such ease, no adjusting needed The vacuum suction was incredibly strong. Vacuuming under bedsides, chairs and tables was a breeze. Plus, it had a long electrical cord, which was very nice and I did not have to worry about a battery operated charge running out before I was finished vacuuming. It made my chore much more pleasant, than was expected. When finished vacuuming, next came cleaning out the vacuum container catch all, it was so simple and less messy. It was so much easier to use than the much larger bulkier vacuum I used at my own home. After our vacation was over and we returned home. It was time to start my own chores. I pulled out my vacuum cleaner and started vacuuming. I realized at that moment how much more difficult my vacuum was to use. I mention it to my husband and I mentioned I like to have a vacuum cleaner like Pam’s. He said to text or call our Pam and see what model it was…I did just that! Plus, it gave me a chance to thank her again for the wonderful time we had. She probably thought I had lost my mind. But as good friends do, she did not question my sanity and she sent me a picture and all the information I needed, I found it on Amazon at a reasonable price and it arrived in two days. I just wish it came with wall hanger for easier storage, which is not included but it can be ordered separately. I still love my Shark HV343AMZ Rocket Corded Stick vacuum cleaner. The photo is how it sits and rides in my car and I carry it into homes in 2 parts, vacuum in left hand, dust cup in right hand. I like the weight and manuverability. I love the ease of putting it together. I love the long cord and ease of emptying dust cup and rinsing/drying at end of day. Cons would be the top heaviness, but the style, with the hand-grip in between is nice and balances the weight. I don't mind laying the vacuum down to move small items out of the way. Older people may have trouble with that. You have to be careful if leaning it up against something, as it can fall down if not propped up securely. At end of day I have the dust cup off the top and it rests on the ground, as in picture. It doesn't vacuum SOME bath rugs easily, while it vacuums others fine. Weight of bath rugs seems to be the factor, as I've used it on both short fluff and shag. (Update: it will vac a lightweight bathroom rug if I vacuum in one direction only, lift at the end, bring back and repeat) It's Narrow vacuum head seems like it takes a bit more time to cover large floors, but it saves time equally by moving between chair legs and picking up crumbs closer to edges. Works wonderfully on hardwood, laminate, carpet or linoleum. I haven't tried it on cement floors. I've only had it and used it for a week, but it seems durable and a Very good value for the money. I would purchase again and I would recommend it to others. Overall, none of these are cons for me personally. I love this purchase. I have the very 1st shark vacuum?? Where the dust cup lays flat, horizontal to the floor. You tap your foot on the release and it pops up. And an above ground "hand vac" was sold separately. I have that too. These were/are my Favorite Shark vacuums. Until I got this little wonder. I still prefer the original model but I am fast preferring the Lightweight of this one And the narrow head, which also goes Under more items than my old one because the dust cup is not down on the head. My old shark is now at Least 10 years old... closer to 15...and someone made a comment about maintenance. Absolutely! The motor is still strong on my old one but it started acting up. So while I waited for this new model to arrive, I used each clients vacuum at their house. I was surprised how many people have sharks 😊 -different models. Several people never cleaned their filters Ever! One thought his vacuum was ruined. I took the filter out and his was disintegrating. I showed him how compacted the dirt was. Then, noticed dirt coming back out onto the floor. I opened the flap to his hose and used a chopstick and some other gadgets to pull out in clumps, compacted dirt, cat hair and cardboard from the kitty scratching boards. YES, please clean the vacuum parts at least once a month. It's so easy and your purchase will last Years! I also helped him look up his model and order new filters. This deal of a vacuum is so easy to clean and access the filters. No reason to not keep it clean. Update: I have used this vacuum for a month now. I changed it to 5 stars. I like so many features on this item-the extra LED light at the base of handheld dust cup is Great for using with the wand to see under beds and reach baseboards & so many places. Saves me from down on my knees and up again all day. I need compact, lightweight, Durable and tough vacuums for cleaning several homes a week.

This Shark picks up dirt, dust and hair like nothing I've had before. Always had less expensive bagged upright and knew I wanted a stick vacuum that would be easier to maneuver and take up/down stairs. I read all the reviews from 1 star & up and knew it would be top-heavy and not stand upright on its own, and in general the upper part would be a bit heavy, but that's because the suction motor works exceedingly well. We got new carpeting and initially bought a cheap stick vacuum which the roller bar motor broke after 10 uses. But the difference between a cheap stick and this Shark is astounding in what it picks up it blows me away. Yes you pretty much have to dump/clean the dirt reservoir after each use because it gets sooo much. And its true the beater brush doesn't have my long hair wrapped around it so bonus. I give a 4 star rating because if you're like me you read those before the 5's and this is a great vacuum.

We live in a small apartment, about 650-700 maybe square feet. All carpeted, so we needed a vacuum but I didn’t want anything bulky that took up a ton of space. I’ve had it for over a month now and thought I would write a review since I’m always skeptical about purchasing things like this online, but this little vacuum continues to impress me! It arrived quickly, was very simple to assemble and is lightweight. I can vacuum from one end of the apartment to the other without needing to unplug and replug it in somewhere else, which is very nice! As you can see from the picture, it picks up quite a bit too. We have 2 little dogs who shed a ton, and the area we live in is crazy dusty around this time of year. I vacuum 1-2 times a week and it always sucks up that much hair/dust and more if I feel like going over the carpet more than once in a day. I’ve used this several times now, and it seems like the brush roller does what it says as far as self cleaning goes because I have not had to pull any hair from it which is also a plus. The dust bucket is also very easy to keep clean after dumping all the gross stuff out! I usually just spray out any of the dust clinging to the sides, let it air dry and click it back in looking good as new. Another cool thing I didn’t realize it had when I bought it was a little light at the front that helps you see some of the stuff you’re vacuuming! The only thing that would make it better is if the dust roller part was a bit wider, just to make vacuuming a little quicker but I knew the dimensions before purchasing so can’t really complain about that :) It might be more annoying to use if you were in a big house or vacuuming a large space, but it does a great job for what we need it for. Highly recommend!

Box and contents looked like a returned product in the packaging. Perhaps that was why it was on sale ( ?). Luckily it seems to work well. The motor is extremely powerful. IT IS NOT LIGHTWEIGHT! EVEN THE EXTRA LONG CORD IS HEAVY, but I am 75 and 4'8". The vacuum is as tall as me. So it was quite a work out to test it for just 15 minutes in 2 partial rooms The top with the motor is very verty heavy and you have to carry it around the whole time in use. It does not stand up by itself. and it was awkward to angle and move around with such a long handle, I was looking for a no tangle brush and it did pick up my long hair well. Will decide soon if I have the stamina to use it regular.

For reference, I was using a Hoover bagless that I've had for years, a Deebot robovac that I've also had for years, and a Tineco mop and vac that I've had a few months. I live in a 1900sqft 1-story house with vinyl plank in the living areas and master, tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, and carpet in 2 bedrooms. I also have a thin, light colored 8x10 area rug. Living here are 2 adults, 2 teen/preteens, one of whom is a wheelchair user, and 2 German Shepherds. The Hoover is so heavy and has started spitting out dust despite new filters. I avoid using it because it's so hard to use. Pros: The new Shark had exceeded my expectations in almost every way. I wanted a light weight vac that I wouldn't put off using because it was too heavy and cumbersome. I wanted one that I didn't have to mount anything on the wall to store. I needed something that could deal with the dog hair and tracked in dirt. The Shark does all of those things. It picks up dirt and hair better than the Hoover, and because of the light that I didn't think I needed, I can actually see what's there. I like how it comes apart to store. It's super maneuverable, getting under/into places that have probably never been vacuumed. It seems to pick up things near the wall well (something my Tineco mop fails at). Cons: I didn't realize it not being able to stand on it's own would be a little inconvenient. I was thinking storage only, so didn't really care, but if I'm in the middle of vacuuming a room and need to move something, I have to find a place to prop the Shark. Same with the cord. I would love to have a self-rewinding cord on this thing. To me, the worst part is having to wrap it around the hooks. I also think the dust bin could be a little bigger, although with 2 GSDs, I'm going to empty it pretty much every time anyway. Lastly, there doesn't seem to be anywhere onboard to store the 2 small tools that come with it. They will be lost in no time. Overall, the drawbacks wouldn't keep me from buying again. It's a great little vacuum with good suction and light weight enough that I'll actually use it often. I haven't used it as a hand tool yet, but will.
