Description
The Shark DETECT Lift-Away corded upright vacuum combines powerful suction with cutting-edge Detect Technology for an ultra-powerful clean. The new Detect nozzle with Shark’s Intelli-Sense smart sensor automatically reacts to floor types by boosting brushroll speed when and where you need it most. Floor Detect automatically senses different floor types, and Direction Detect even senses the direction you are vacuuming, directing powerful suction either forward or in reverse. Dirt, debris, large piles, fine dust, and pet hair are no match for Detect. For above-floor cleaning, Lift-Away technology means you can detach the pod to take your cleaning to stairs, furniture, windowsills, and more. Shark’s Odor Neutralizer Technology guards against bad odors inside your vacuum to help freshen your home. Plus, Anti-Allergen Complete Seal with HEPA filtration seals and traps 99.99% of dust, dander, and allergens inside the vacuum, keeping them out of the air you breathe. Based on ASTM F1977, down to 0.3 microns. Allergens refers to non-living matters.

Happy With It
Style: Detect Lift-Away (Burgundy)
I’ve had this for a couple months now and really like it. It’s light weight, has good maneuverability and the auto detect for carpet height works well. Yes ,the cord is made of hard plastic but it does the job. Like all bagless vacuums that I’ve used, it’s a little messy emptying them out. Overall it, cleans well picking up pet hair and I love how the hair does not get wrapped around the brush head. The attachments work well and it also has an option for full suction or limited suction that comes in handy occasionally.

Great investment
Style: Detect Lift-Away (Burgundy)
Much lighter to push than my old upright. It maneuvers beautifully and does a great job. I am so pleased to have put the money into a good vacuum. Even my husband commented on well it works and how easy it is. It instantly changes from wood floors to the rugs we have down.

Lift Away mode for ceiling fans = A+
Style: Detect Lift-Away (Burgundy)
Pros/Cons: 1. Suction >> is AMAZING!! Never had a vacuum that I could use the attachment and get ALL the dust off the ceiling fan without dropping dust on the floor below. This vacuum gets all the dust off! There are 3 attachments & one of them is made for ceiling fans, which is a bonus I wasn’t expecting! They call it the dust brush, but it’s perfect for ceiling fans. 2. Easy to use >> Putting it together out of the box was super easy. Everything clicked together very easily in seconds. It swivels well around corners and glides effortlessly back and forth. Con: Due to the Pod being near the base of the vacuum, you can’t really get under short spots (like couch or furniture) without using attachment. 3. Works Great on Tile >> My other vacuums I had to use the attachments to get the tile really vacuumed, but not with this Shark. This vacuum has enough suction that I can just glide it across the tile floors and it sucks all the hair up (we have a black lab that sheds like crazy). You don’t have to go over the same spot more than once either. 4. Odor Neutralizer >> Normally I have to put carpet freshener down, but this vacuum has the odor neutralizer that you smell instantly when you turn it on (First thing my husband noticed and liked). You only replace the odor dial every 6 months and you can get 2 at Walmart for $20. So, not expensive to maintain! 5. Lift Away Mode >> This feature is why I purchased this vacuum. It’s so easy to click the Pod out and convenient to get hard to reach places like ceiling fans or stairs or baseboards. The wand is nice and long so you don’t have to worry about struggling to reach fans or crown molding. You can also change the suction on the wand from min to max. I used the max when doing my living room fan and didn’t drop any dust on the floor below (it was long over due for a good dusting). 6. Headlights >> there are 2 on the front and it’s great because you can really see what you are sucking up. Vacuum in the dark no problem! Also, the lights turn red if the roll brush has a jam so you notice immediately and can stop and unblock it. Overall I love the vacuum!! Worth the price!!

Love the detect feature
Style: Detect Lift-Away (Burgundy)
I absolutely love this vacuum. It has been a complete game changer for me. It's super lightweight and easy on my back cuz I have really bad back pain and my Dyson was completely impossible to push and I have a dog that has really short dense fur and it gets everywhere and this vacuum gets right out of my thick carpet. It was a great price and I love the extra features that it came with.

good vacuum but the electrical cord is awful. It's as if there was a 1/4" piece of solid cooper in it and it gets bent to the point that is beyond being usable. I leave the cord on the machine and use another cord plugged into it.

Suction is amazing and has lasted a year in my dog business!
Style: Detect Lift-Away (Burgundy)
I've had this vacuum for a almost a year now and absolutely love it. I have an in home dog boarding business so I've got LOTS of dog hair and dirt. It handles everything with ease. It does not love one of my washable rugs, but the amount it pulls up out of my carpet & other area rugs is completely worth it.

Goodbye Dyson, Hello Shark
Style: Detect Lift-Away (Burgundy)
I’ve been a loyal Dyson user for about 10 years, always replacing one with another whenever it wore out. But this last time, I decided to try a Shark—and honestly, the difference blew me away. Dyson is a good vacuum, but Shark is officially my go-to now. I have six cats and a dog, so I need a vacuum that can really keep up with the constant pet hair and mess. This one absolutely does. Here’s what stood out to me: It’s super lightweight. I didn’t even realize how heavy my old vacuums were until I started using this one. It glides across the floor effortlessly and is really easy to push. The canister is more secure. It has specific buttons and latches to open and empty it, so it feels less messy and more controlled. The deodorizer capsule works. I was skeptical, but it actually makes the air smell fresher after vacuuming, which is a nice touch, especially with pets. The floor light is amazing. I had no idea how helpful a vacuum light could be on tile floors. When I vacuum with the lights dim, every bit of hair and dust lights up, and my house looks noticeably cleaner. The hose handle release is super handy. It makes it really easy to clean around animal cages and window sills without having to wrestle with attachments. Bottom line: I’m SO glad I bought this vacuum. It’s made cleaning easier and more effective, and I won’t be going back.
