After watching many reviews, I settled on the Shark AZ2002 Vertex DuoClean and cannot be any happier in that decision. PROS - Very powerful suction - Picks up more than I ever knew existed in my carpet. I cannot stress how impressed I am by it. - Easy to use detachable canister/hose - Easy to dispense - Enough accessories to get you by - Hair does not get trapped in the rollers, even long hair! - No leakage from the filter. - Won best vacuum of 2021 on Vacuum Wars YouTube channel. - The "renewed" version I bought was $100 cheaper and you'd be hard pressed to convince me I didn't receive a brand new one since it was in excellent condition, appeared unused or even unopened, had all original attachments and came in the original box. Helluva deal! CONS - May leave you feeling like you've never actually vacuumed your house if you only used cheap vacuums before. - Long hair can become trapped around the canister interior cone making it so that dust gets trapped up there and will not easily come out when dumping the canister. Using something like a clothes hanger cleaned it out for me. I'm going to assume this is a one time thing and that I will not have this issue after the initial cleaning since my old cheap vacuum left a lot behind obviously and that won't be the case in the future with this vacuum. - With this much suction power, it can be a workout to pull it backwards on the lower pile/hard-floor settings. I need a workout anyway, so this is not a complaint, just mentioning it for anyone that might care. RECOMMENDATIONS - Empty the canister in an outdoor trashcan to avoid the dust getting into your home air. - Detach the canister when using the hose extension. - Put the 3rd brush attachment onto the edge nozzle so you can keep all 3 attachments on the back of the vacuum. - Be sure to clean behind the roller(s) after every few cleanings to avoid issues down the road. - Just buy it! It's a great vacuum and half the price of a Dyson and it rates right up there with it.

I have bought a few other renewed items and have found them to in excellent condition. We have a larger German "Shedder" who leaves hair everywhere. I am so thankful for the large dust cup! And the cord, nice and long. We have a large ranch style home and I only have to plug it in twice, one at each end of the house. Really appreciate all the controls on the handle, much easier to change from carpet to hardwood. While a bit heavy to carry, not a bit hard to push, even on thicker carpet. I am a middle of the price road buyer and this is the best vacuum I have owned in 30+ years.

After swearing off Amazon Refurbished because the first two vacuums I tried I had to send back we finally have a winner. I've only used it twice but it works well. Calling its condition "excellent" is a major stretch as it's pretty banged up but I'm tired of vacuum shopping! Functionally, my only complaint is the dust cup is really small. The suction made the higher-end Bissell I tried seem like a broom. LOL! I'm happy with it.

I have only had this vacuum for 5 months and it no longer works. In fact it won’t even turn on. I use it infrequently, maximum twice per week—I usually use my other cordless upright vacuum. Sometimes usage is only twice per month. It isn’t used for hours straight and is used in a home that mainly has hardwood floors—meaning that the motor isn’t being overworked when being used. It suddenly died and now will not even turn on. Before it died, here was no damage done to the vacuum. It wasn’t dropped and didn’t have anything fall on it that would have caused it to stop working. Because of the minimal, standard usage that occurred for such a short period of time I recommend staying away from this vacuum. Choose a different vacuum instead unless you want to waste your $ and have to buy another vacuum in the end

We own a residential/commercial cleaning business, a carpet cleaning business and run a decent team. I buy probably 10 or so vacuums a year. I’ve bought quite a few different sharks over the last 4 years. The only one that has held up and we can fix ourselves has been this one. We buy the renewed for around $150 everytime it is on sale. You do HAVE to properly maintain and clean them regularly! That’s the biggest mistake I see people make. If you don’t take the roller out and clean debris out it will stop working eventually and cannot be fixed. Pieces of hair get caught in the corner and once packed in there you cannot get it out. The suction is amazing, which can result in getting unwanted items in the hose. The only flaw is that there’s no easy way to remove them with the angle. We have literally had to cut the hose to remove a slipper we got at a clients house. Luckily, replacement parts are not too expensive and we buy extras for back up. Wash your filters! You can also buy replacement filters which are reasonable and well worth it. I wash them in warm water with light detergent and oxi clean. Air dry and they smell amazing when you use them. We use our air compressor to clean out the vacuums once a week along with the HEPA filter, which you can also buy a back up of and I recommend. Also, vacuums are not meant to suck up everything on the floor. You do have to pick up items that shouldn’t be ran through a vacuum in order to keep the life of your vacuum going. Don’t run over liquids. Don’t drag across concrete. Take care of it and it will last!
