This vacuum is amazing! The suction power is very strong. I have 3 dogs, and this vacuum handles pet hair and dirt with no problem at all! Easy to empty canister afterwards as well. Very easy to use around the house and works great on stairs and hard to reach areas. I recommend this vacuum.

If you want a vacuum that will get every nook and cranny and your love language is seeing the clean, well then this is your vacuum. Yes it is worth the price. I had one for almost 5 years and it died and I frantically looked to see if I could find something close. This was a new and improved version. As if it could be made any better. Yes I do get excited about a good vacuum. Spend tons of money on things that clog, die in less than 2 years, parts break off. So yes I highly recommend this. It is multifunctional and you can take the canister of to run the vacuum under hard to reach places. This is hands down the best vacuum I've ever owned! I've had Shark vacuums for several years now, because I like the performance and how intuitively they are designed. This one is a little heavier than my previous model, but it has noticeably more power - and I think that's worth the extra weight. The attachments I had from my old one fit this new model. It has all the usual Shark features, including the lift away and the duo clean, which I love for a house with multiple levels and a few different floorings. It even has little details that end up making a big impact, like a little rubbery coating around the edge of the hose nozzle so someone like me doesn't make marks when I inevitably bang it too hard against the floor boards. I don't know who thought of that tiny detail, but it's brilliant! Also, this is the only vacuum I've ever had that truly, absolutely DOES NOT get hair tangled around the roller!! Maybe it's the new design with the fins instead of traditional bristles, but whatever the reason, it's miraculous! There are three people with long hair in my house, and I have not once had to cut long strands of hair that got wrapped around the roller. Never. Incredible! ... show more

We've owned a lot of vacuums over the years but I have to say this is BY FAR the best of ever used for pickup and ease of getting around some pretty tight spots. The head lights are bright and help in some of those difficult to reach places. The suction is awesome! The only thing that kept me from rating this 5 stars the the attachment hose. It really needs to be longer, although I will say the entire tank is removable from the frame of the vacuum which can be carried around with you. That helps until you're on a ladder which makes it difficult to carry and not safe to try when climbing up the steps. Still, a great unit for the money and I would recommend serious consideration of this vacuum. ... show more

I know a new vacuum always works better than the previous, but I really like this 1. With the 1st use it pulled up so much dust! And I'd jist tried a brand new Bissell (which was crap) 4 days prior! My carpet looked refreshed! Better than it had in YEARS!!!!

First of all, I am/was a very loyal Shark fan. I've had several, my older model Shark vacuum is 10 years old, still works but doesn't have as much suction as it used to. After much consideration, because in this economy, $300-$400 for a vacuum is crazy. I finally gave in and purchased this newer version. I absolutely despise this vacuum with every fiber of my being. I bought it in October. I've attempted to use it 3 times and just end up bringing my older one out. The newer version has 3 settings for floors. Bare, medium and high pile. If you have any kind of rug, ANY kind, big, small, doesn't matter and doesn't matter what setting you use, the vacuum will not go over the rug. I have everything from a 12x15 in my livingroom to smaller 6x9 and 2x3, etc...no setting works on any of them. Also, if this vacuum ever does get stopped up at the floor level where the dirt initially goes in, you're out of luck because it does not come apart. My older one had the snap off cover for easy access. If I could return this, I absolutely would. I tried to keep it thinking it would grow on me but all it does it makes me mad every time I try to use it. So now my $400 vacuum will sit in a closet and I'm off to buy a different brand as I'm giving up on Sharks for awhile. ... show more
