We’ve had ours for a year and use it weekly. If the water/cleaning solution container is left on, it does leak, but I just remove it after use and it’s not an issue. This vacuum does require cleaning parts after every use, but given the nature of the vacuum, that shouldn’t be a surprise. We’ve loved it thus far!

In my opinion, this vacmop is a necessity if you have young children learning their table manners. We have 1.5 year old twins, and the mess after every meal was INSANE, even with a dog picking up the tastiest bits. Sweeping up debris, then mopping up the sticky, saucey parts of the mess was daunting with two tails interested in everything you're doing and trying to get into the mop water or spread the debris you just swept up back around. I purchased the Shark HydroVac in desperation, and my husband almost immediately declared it the best Amazon purchase of the year. In one fell swoop it vacuums up crumbs and wipes away sticky spills. It cut our floor cleanup time to mere minutes. We simply run it around our dining room and kitchen after every meal tidy up our children's disaster. Though this product is not a replacement for regular wet mopping, it keeps our spaces looking tidy and quickly takes care of spills between deep cleanings. It does have difficulty with messes that have had time to dry to the floor, so if you get sauce or juice on the floor, it's best to clean it up as soon as possible. It's very easy to clean. Just dump the mess in the toilet and rinse out the removable pieces. You get an extra brush roll, which I scrub with a brush to remove hair and buildup. I wipe the pieces down with a paper towel soaked with vinegar to help with odors. Sometimes you need to scrub off stuck on mess. The machine also has a self-clean feature, but I'm not entirely sure how effective it is. I run that every night, but try to take it apart and clean it at least every three days. Overall, a great purchase that I am thankful for after every meal or every time my dog walks across my floor with muddy paws.

I really do like this tool. It's efficient and easy to clean. It would be even more helpful if it cleaned right up to the walls. It cleans about an inch from the walls now.

Mud season here in the Pacific NW was especially bad this year with the addition of our 10 month old Newfoundland puppy! We are cleaning the floors 3, sometimes 4 times a day and they are dirty again 5 minutes later! Enter the Shark HydroVac. It hasn't reduced the number of times we need to clean... but it sure makes it easier! I can vacuum and mop all in one pass! What a revelation! It's the best thing since sliced bread! It's nice and light weight and it does a good job on my vinyl floors (which are quite smooth). It's not great at deep cleaning, it doesn't scrub very hard, but it cleans up the mess quickly and efficiently. I'll still do a deeper clean every couple weeks, but this keeps my home presentable until then. I also use this in my gym where I have installed the pebbled rubber stall mats as flooring. It does a decent job on those floors, but to get into the pebbled surface I really need to use some kind of scrub brush. But this little HydroVac picks up the heavy dirt and makes me feel like the floor is reasonably clean. The battery is enough to clean my gym (about 300 SF of floor cleaning) and most of my family room floor (Newfie-ville is about 600 SF of cleanable space) before it runs out of power. It would be nice if the battery lasted a bit longer, but I understand there are tradeoffs in weight with a larger battery, and I'm very happy with the light-weight feel of this unit.

Ok, we love this and was a PERFECT decision to get. I could go on an on how it works flawless and does exactly what it says it does. Negative and only one. Battery life is not as long as I was hoping it woudl be. It's not that bad. But I wish it had another 5-8 mnutes run time. It probably lasts me around 15-18 minutes. It uses it's power to really scrub and clean the floor. That said, our first use was totally perfect and surprised us how clean, well really, how we had a dirty floor. It cleaned it very well, so much I though we just installed the flooring. It was that clean. Now, I will say this. We got the extra roller, plus filters. We have changed the roller 2 times. We will clean the floor a few times, then do the self cleaning, then take roller out, hand clean that and use the other while this dries. Mainly so we can maintain this unit and keep it clean through and through. You can not just self clean this unit and keep moving roward. You have to clena the dirty tank out, and the rolller area from any dirt. It's not perfect. So we might be a littl eover kill on the cleaning but it does help us maintain a clean floor system in our home. We love this unit and give a 4.9, just wish the battery was a little longer

It's a weird thing, but product does clean my wood floors just fine. The issue is it leaves a smell after the second use. I followed the instructions and have clean the filter, used the solution and change the brush out and it still creates a bad smell after after the first use. Now this just sits in the corner of the laundry room and we use a Swiffer Jet.
