I had given my dad my high back office chair, so I was looking for something comparable. Although this isn't quite as tall, it's a very nice chair, at a great price. And also, thanks to all the reviewers out there which is what led me to this chair. The chair itself came very well packaged. A box within a box. Takes about as long to unpack as it does putting together. With 12 allen head screws. Four on the bottom, and eight on the sides. So in about 30 minutes tops, the chair is ready for use. Just remember not to tighten everything down until the chair is completely assembled. Size wise the chair accommodates me just fine. I'm 6', 195lbs, and the chair handles me nicely. There are two control mechanisms for the chair. One is the chair lift handle. Which adjust the height of the chair. The other, is a turn knob underneath the chair that adjusts the backward tension of the chair. Or simply put, how stiff the chair is in the reclining position. This chair does not recline but about 1/4 of the way back. Just so you know. The back of the seat is about 24inches high, and the seat base is about 17 inches. The color is a deep rich brown. Very nice, rather expensive looking chair for the price. And although not overly padded, it is quite comfortable to sit in. For me this was a good value. And a product well worth recommending if you are looking for a nice classy office chair. It also feels very durable. Of course I've only had it a week or so. But if anything changes, I will come back and repost any changes. ... show more

This is a very well-constructed, well-packaged chair that was easy to assemble. The faux leather has a nice feel and it seems like it will stand up over time. Wish the seat was more cushioned, but overall, very happy with quality and value.

While h is chair is very comfortable, I have to say the back is definitely odd. The headrest really pushes forward and there is NO lumbar support. A decent chair overall, but not great for ergonomics if that’s what you’re looking for.

This is a good chair. It is dark brown- not black- but close. Comfortable- use it every day at my office. Moves easily across floor- has minimal tilt back and seat comes out to about mid- thigh. I am 5 foot 6 inches, no problem. Nice padded arm rests, back of chair comes up just a little above shoulders at my height- easy to put together if you follow instructions. ... show more

First of all, this chair looks all shiny and glossy in the picture, but it is definitely not. It's just a matte faux leather look. It's still a nice look, but I really wanted it to be shiny like the picture. They must have rubbed the chair down with some vaseline or baby oil before they took the picture! Also, it's not as comfortable as I thought. The seat cushion is not very cushiony and kind of flat. Also, after only a few short weeks, the chair is already lopsided and tilting to one side.........and it's creaking and squeaking already. It does look nice and the armrests and base are really sturdy; it's just that the chair itself (cushion parts) are not that great or of a high quality. Then, I was so bummed out because I ordered it and I got a Lane Bryant plus size furniture magazine a few days later with an even nicer chair, that was the same brown, but wider and more plush and for half the price (only $99.99)!! That totally bummed me out! This chair is okay and if I tested it in the store, I still probably would've bought it because it is somewhat comfortable. It's just that it's not wearing well and kind of getting worn out waaaaaaay to soon.............knowing this, I would've searched for a better chair - probably in a store where you can test them out. ... show more

Excellent chair. Faux leather is a pretty good quality. Has that expensive look and feel to it. This is a heavy, well constructed chair. I have assembled a lot of chairs, many of which are just plain junk. This one is leaps and bounds above them in quality and appearance. Pretty comfy as well.
