it's a bit on the smaller side but aside from that it sits well against your back and seems pretty sturdy, stupid simple assembly besides some of the clearances being a bit off and having to get them in exactly right. Looks fine and the padding seems good enough for decently long sitting periods.

//EDIT (Oct 10, 2021)// It was a few months ago that this chair gave up the ghost. I'm the type to pretty aggressively lean back in my chair, for a while at times. About a year and a half after buying this seat, my bony, 140 pound butt ended up breaking one of the supporting beams - I guess you'd call them that? - that connects the back to the chair base, snapping clean through without much warning. This actually still left the chair fairly usable, honestly - a bit of electrical tape wrapped around the breaking point made the thing as good as new, though duct tape would have been better. Some months later, the other beam snapped in a similar fashion, leaving me with a chair which no amount of duct tape would fix the back of. All in all, the chair served me for a few months short of its two year anniversary before giving up. For the price - emphasis on the word price - this chair is still great. It's very comfortable, and I think it's year and a half durability is forgivable granted that this is so inexpensive. I'd have maintained my 5 star rating if it lasted to the two year mark, as I know that I abused the chair a bit, but I'd expect 140 pounds of person to be able to be a lil rough with a chair. //ORIGINAL (Aug 20, 2019)// After a lot of searching for chairs at or above this price point, the reviews on this one finally got me to settle on it... and I have no regrets. Assembling this chair can be a little rough if you get ahead of yourself and don't follow the directions as you're intended to. (Assembly quickly gets wonky if you put the arm rests on in the wrong order!) However, the directions ARE clear, and following them to the T makes assembly easy. What I will say about the finished product is that, while basic, it's definitely a better quality than I expected from such a cost-efficient product. It is solid, stable, and quite comfortable! The chair's raising/lowering mechanism is of just the right sensitivity, and the wheels roll smoothly. It's comfortable for quick or prolonged periods of sitting, for gaming/office work/any of your sitting needs. All in all, great product. It's nothing flashy, and it doesn't have to be. If you want a sturdy, comfortable, and simple office chair, you found the right one.

I’ve been using this chair at my computer, and it’s been a really solid upgrade. The seat is comfortable and supportive, so I can sit for long stretches without feeling stiff or sore. The mesh back keeps things cool and gives just the right amount of support during long work or browsing sessions. The chair does have armrests, but I honestly don’t use them much — and that’s totally fine. They stay out of the way and don’t interfere with how close I sit to the desk, so the chair still feels open and easy to move around in. The height adjustment works smoothly, and the wheels roll easily when I shift around my workspace. For the price, the quality is impressive. I love this chair comfort -wise. The back support was great. I liked the color. And the seat bottom was comfy and sturdy. I'm a teacher so I roll back and forth from my desk to my teacher work table often all day. So being able to wheel over and back is essential. The price was really reasonable too. However, I had to buy a 2nd one about a year later because the housing of the hydraulic mechanism that raises the chair up and down cracked. What was weird is that It still worked going up and down...but the chamber that contained the lifting part was no longer stable and it rocked around like a swivel. When I sat, I was tilted forward at such a steep angle that it almost felt like I'd be dumped out of my chair. I bought a 2nd one to give it another chance... hoping I may have just had a faulty part the last time. Perhaps reinforcing that part going forward would be smart. I'd pay more for a sturdier chair.

UPDATE MARCH 2024 After a lot of time with this chair, I've come to terms with the fact that ultimately, it wasn't worth it. The seat no longer stays at the height I want it to be at and it keeps sinking to it's lowest setting. The lumbar support also no longer supports. When I first got this chair, I set it so that the backrest would remain firm and not tip backward but now it does exactly that. It was nice while it lasted but certainly not long lasting. ORIGINAL REVIEW JUNE 2022 Admittedly this chair was delivered not even two hours ago, so I can't speak much about its long-term comfort or durability but here is what I can tell you about it: 1) The most effortless assembly ever! It took me about 30 minutes to put this chair together but I can't say for sure because I didn't actually time myself and my need for perfectly aligned holes may have lengthened the time significantly. I did it by myself and it was a real snap to do. 2) The plastic portions of the chair seem very sturdy and not flimsy like some office chairs I've had in the past. They seem like they will stand up to wear over time but that remains to be seen. The seat cushion is definitely comfier than I expected, it is firm and seems like it can easily snap back into shape after a long day of someone sitting in it. 3) The backrest is perfect for me, I have a bad habit of hunching forward because my previous chair had no support or cushioning but then again, I was using a wooden chair. The lower lumbar support is very nice as it keeps me from hunching over at my desk by instead, encouraging me to lean back and give my spine a break. I have the reclining knob set to its furthest capability to help with this. 4) This may not be the office chair for tall people or anyone seeking to be higher up but I find it suitable for me. At its highest position, the heels of my feet are less than an inch off the floor and I am only 5'2" tall, so I guess it will depend on what you are looking for. 5) The wheels seem like they will hold up great and while I know this is more of a pet peeve than an actual complaint about the product, I feel it is important people know that this chair DOES NOT move across low-pile carpeting very easily. If you are like me and you have wall-to-wall carpeting you may want to purchase one of those plastic floor mats or replacement wheels designed for carpeting to ensure maximum rolling capability. To me, it doesn't matter at this point because I have no real space or need to roll around in my chair except for pure amusement. 6) My only REAL complaint about this office chair is the width. I honestly didn't think to pay attention to this when purchasing. I am a decently hippy woman, as in, I have some pretty damn wide hips and this chair is a little too narrow in the seat for what I would be comfortable with. This is not to say my booty doesn't fit in the chair because it does but oh boy, I can't get much wider than I am right now, or else this chair is going to charity. I measured the shortest distance between the front of the two armrests and they are 17-1/2" apart so please take that into consideration if you are a curvy woman like me. OVERALL (TLDR), this is a great chair for the price. Easy assembly, the materials appear durable and up to the task of keeping my butt comfortable on a daily basis. The lumbar support is excellent, the height adjustment is perfect as is the recline mechanism. The only two downsides are that the wheels don't glide effortlessly across my carpet and that the armrests are just a little too close for a curvy body type.
