3 days in and will update again in a couple of weeks! Super excited when this arrived at my home and right away ran into an issues . Before I even unboxed I scanned the bar code on outside of box that brought me to a blank page. Then after opening I scanned 2 more bar codes that were suppose to bring me to the pet cove app, they too directed me to a blank page. I then scanned the code on the litter box itself that only brought me to the pet cove store site. Annoyed I didn't see any real directions on set up I searched on my Google play store for purrtek and no exact match so then searched pet cove and after scrolling down I found an app. Once installed the app I spent the next 2 hours configuring my wifi so that I could have 2.4 on my phone and to connect the litter box. The app is not helpful in the sense of helping with set up or how to use. It identifies the buttons on box but no explanation of what each button actually telling you what it's use is for. For example the infrared sensor detection is by default off- does this mean it needs to be on to detect my cat? I have no idea but I always want the box to detect my cat to insure my cats safety so why would it be off..ever? I also have no idea on how to use the cleaning cycles, like if I have it set to clean every hour will it only clean every hour and not after my cat uses it or will it detect that my cat is in there if in the box 😳? Same with clumping feature, I have no idea how long it should clump for. I also don't know if there is a way to have the app set for multi cat weights and my cats have similar weights but the app varies a tiny bit as it's not exact when I see my one cat go in 3 times in the matter of a couple of minutes the weight slightly changes and I don't know if both are using it. There are no instructions on how to disassemble to clean or how to get the litter inside so I made the mistake of just pouring into small opening so I spilled a ton onto floor and now I pour into a cup and pour into box that way but that can't be how it's done so I'm either a little behind technically or this could use some improvements but instructions with more explanation of how to use would be helpful to know how to properly use the machine. As far as as changing the bag it is simple and main function of the box is good. I haven't smelled anything which is quite impressive as my cats have the stinkiest poops ever. Will update soon! UPDATE, AS PROMISED Have now had the litter box a couple of weeks and have worked out some of the issues on my own by playing around with it. I figured out how to take the drum out to fill litter and clean out. There is a latch on back that isn't as obvious as one would think at least not to me. Customer service is super important when making a large purchase or really any purchase and I was contacted very soon after my initial review letting me know that they will gladly help me to understand the machine so that I can use it correctly and to it's potential therefore making my life easier which is why I purchased. I was kind of annoyed because I felt like I was being told that if I wanted help with the problems I put in my review then I needed to ask which to me was pretty clear that if you know the issues I'm having then yes please send me the guides I need BUT in the last response I was informed that was Amazon's policy that I can contact the seller but the seller needed to take certain steps to reach me to not violate policy through Amazon! Anyways PetCove has been very responsive and has even refunded the purchase in hopes that I will continue to use the product that they are confident in and hope that I can spread the word. In all sincerity I actually am liking the auto litter box. It's pretty basic, not complex and does exactly what it is supposed to do! I just wish it came with clear instructions or any instructions! Customer service is top notch! Product is very good!

So happy with my PetCove Self Cleaning Litter Box which I've had for almost a year now! It runs without issue and allows me to configure it so that it works the way my cats need it to. My favorite features: 1. Easy to empty and replace the llitter bag by opening the side compartment. This limits the nasty unavoidable litterbox odor in a big way. I do mine daily and it takes 3 minutes including tieing the bag. 2. Reports on when my cats have used it and gives me their weight - a big plus for tracking health issues in my older cat! 3. Easy to remove the cylinder and give a thorough cleaning when necessary. I am 75 and have severe arthritis so it has to be easy! I do mine every 4 to 6 weeks. 4. It only starts the self-cleaning once the litter has had time to clump. You can change that interval in the app. 5. I love the app! It is straightforward and easily customizable. 6. While the cleaning process does involve some sound when it occurs, I sleep through it without issue. This product is well worth the expense and it is far cheaper than others on the market. I highly recommend it!

I’ve had this litter box for a few months now, and here’s some notes: -this thing is in my bedroom, and I have two cats (one kitten one 2 yr old cat) and I have to change the bag once a week. not bad!! -the smell is kinda crazy; getting a litter deodorizer and candle or spray is a must. luckily mine is situated right next to a window so it isn’t too bad. it honestly only smells horrible when the bag is full (duh); once it’s changed the smell goes away! -do not try to use anything but good quality clumping litter. I made the mistake of using crystal litter the first time; just don’t. bite the bullet and buy a big ole tub of clumping litter. I use tidy cat and have a shovel to add more litter as it cleans the clumps out. I find this to be the most efficient method! -while the cleaning is quiet, the litter gets everywhere. I have yet to buy a rug/litter catcher to put under it but for now i’m having to sweep everyday. make sure you buy a litter catcher to put under/in front of it! I have yet to clean the inside of the drum; I kind of just want to take it outside and spray it down with a hose once it gets warmer. for now i’ve been using a pet friendly cleaning spray and paper towels to wipe as necessary. detaching and reattaching the drum is super easy too! all to say, I genuinely would recommend this to anyone thinking of buying a self cleaning litter box. it does its job, it’s quiet, the app is a nice touch, and it’s great for people who are a little too busy to clean a litter box daily. while i’m sure it’s not as great as the higher end ones; this one is great for a more budget friendly option!

This litterbox is quiet, easy to set up, and easy to clean. The app is easy to download and use. At first, I couldn't get the empty button to work... but after some time, it started to work and has been the best tool for keeping my cat healthy. It works well with crystal litter as well as normal clumping clay litter. It's also been quite interesting to get weight report after Fuzzball has done his business.
