This is our first self-cleaning litter box, so my cat initially was like, “um… no.” He unfortunately was peaking over my shoulder when I plugged it in to test it out so was freaked out by this demon possessed object that could move on its own. He did not understand why I would feed the creature his litter and poop. I set it up next to his regular box and stopped scooping his regular box. It took exactly one week for him to start using it. I am sooo glad he did!! The dogs won’t be able to eat his poop anymore! It doesn’t smell like a litter box in my office anymore! I don’t have to scoop on a regular basis!! Hallelujah!!! The machine is super cute. It was reaaal tricky to put the top part on the bottom part, but I eventually got it. It works really well. I like the app alright. It’s pretty quiet, and again, super super cute, and my cat, hallelujah, is using it. Plus, I can use the walnut litter that I like. I have allergies to the perfumed dusty kind, so I’m really glad to be able to use the walnut litter!

Poor design. Super hard to put together. Very cheap parts. Never used or even turned it on. Took too long (about 2 hours) to put together and just hard to move around after that. Didn't feel it was worth dealing with. So I spent the time again to take it apart and return it. Then I got a MEOWANT and that one is Da Bomb! Hardly any time for set up and it works so good and feels like a quality pc of machinery. Definatly recomment MEOWWANT!! Not this one. Also, After I bought it, the sellers offered to send me 50 bucks to just keep it. I said dont you mean a refund PLUS 50.00 for my time wasted putting it together and then boxing it back up UN-USED?? Then they offered me 80.00 to keep and I just returned it for a FULL REFUND.

UPDATE 12/14/2025: I am upgrading my rating to four stars. The seller reached out to me with some explanations and a refund offer. So, that's great customer service! Before this, I thought leaving a three-star review is fair. Realistically, other automatic litter boxes at this price range won't be better. I'm not unhappy with the box. I've liked it, and I chose to keep it. I'm just being honest about it. However, accounting for the customer service and my change of litter type, I now think a four-star rating is appropriate. It was explained to me that the "child lock" option in the app simply disables the physical buttons on the box so that a child can't affect the functions of the box if buttons are pressed. Okay, I can see that as a useful function. Also, the "light" option in the app is the light on the dashboard display. Turning this off will disable all the lights and information on the box. It's a nice option to have. I am now using crystal litter with a bit of baking soda (some in the litter, and a bit in the bin), and I am much happier. Only poop is going to the waste bin, I don't need to top-up the litter every few days, I'm getting fewer sensor glitches, odor has been reduced, and there is much less scatter. I have the "clumping" delay set to 30 minutes, by the way; this gives the crystals time to absorb the moisture. Everything works better with the crystal litter, so much that it feels like the box was meant for it. I can't overstate what a difference it has made. Now, the litter needs to be changed once a month and I'm no longer worried about the bin capacity. The app could still use some work. I know this is subjective, but I would rate this box even higher if the app would get polished. And does it matter that the box is less than stellar if the recommended, clumping litter is used? Moreover, should it work perfectly with every type of litter out there? I don't really care. I found what works for me and my cat. 😸 ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've had this automatic litter box for about two weeks, and I wanted to share some honest impressions. If you’re just looking to make litter maintenance a bit easier, it mostly delivers. I’m not blown away, but it’s serviceable. If you’re considering buying it, definitely read my notes at the end about the type of litter that works best and the design fixes that would make a big improvement. POSITIVES: - Good price for the quality: This is one of the most affordable automatic litter boxes that still looks great and feels well-made. - Stylish and cat-friendly design: It’s modern, cute, and free of sharp edges. My cat climbs in and out comfortably. - Easy setup: Assembly is straightforward, and pairing with the app was painless. The instructions are clear and beginner-friendly. - Reliable performance (most of the time): It removes almost all solid and clumping waste, nearly as well as manual scooping. Expect to still empty the waste bin every 2–3 days per cat if you're using regular clumping litter. - Thoughtful sifter design: The grid doesn’t get waste stuck on it easily, so that keeps it clean. On the other hand, some smaller pieces may get missed by the cleaning cycle, but it’s a rare occurrence. - Waste bin usability: The bin slides in and out with little manual effort, and placing the plastic bag doesn’t require much precision. - Waste bags: There is a lot of them included, enough to last you a loooooong time. - Litter mat: It's of nice quality and easy to clean. - Cat-approved: My small Maine Coon mix (about 8.5 lbs) used it immediately. I kept the old box around for a week, then removed it with zero issues. He now uses this automatic litter box exclusively. - Not too loud: The cleaning cycle hums softly — audible but not disruptive, even in my studio apartment. - End of cleaning cycle beep can be turned off: Great for light sleepers. - Adjustable clumping delay on the app: You can choose how long to wait before a cleaning cycle begins, whether to let waste harden/clump for longer or give your cat more time to leave the litter area (for the easily scared ones). The downside: longer delays = stronger odors in a home. But the setting is there for experimentation. - Fast app notifications: Usage and cycle alerts arrive almost instantly. - Simple app: Even though some functions don’t work correctly, it’s still OK for the basics and is easy to navigate. NEGATIVES: - Very small waste bin: I have no idea how the manufacturer calculated “15 liters.” I’m lucky if it holds two liters of actual clumped waste. - Poor waste distribution: Waste drops straight into the center and stacks more vertically, instead of spreading across the bin. Because of this, the bin fills (or appears full) much sooner than it should. - Frequent “bin full” errors: The app claims the bin is full when there’s still unused space. Shaking or reshuffling the bin buys only a day before the notification returns. - Occasional missed waste: Once in a while, tiny bits of waste remain behind. It’s minor, and often picked up in the next cleaning cycle. Not a big issue, but worth mentioning. - Overly sensitive anti-pinch sensor: There's no option to disable it. Once, the box stopped because clumped waste piled too high and triggered the sensor, making it think a cat was inside. My cat ended up without a functioning litter box while I was at work — not ideal. Realistically, my cat isn’t going to leave a leg dangling inside, so a manual override option would make more sense — pause future cycles but still allow the box to operate until the issue is addressed. - Weak odor control: The waste bin doesn’t trap smells effectively, especially for cats fed on mostly wet food. If the poop is stinky, the immediate area around the litter box will smell too. - Litter scatter is worse: The interior should be recessed more; the entrance wall is too low. I’m finding more litter outside the box than with my old manual one — same litter, same cat, same habits. - The app needs work: 1) Naming the cat doesn’t stick; 2) Resetting the litter weight has a glitch, showing the cat weight when only the litter is inside; 3) Duplicate use/cleaning entries appear frequently; 4) As I mentioned, no way to disable the safety checks during malfunctions, and can’t “pause” manually whenever needed for troubleshooting (although nighttime pauses CAN be scheduled); 5) No simple “away mode” to switch to longer clumping delays while at work or otherwise away from home; 6) There’s a light setting but no actual light in the box, which suggests a missing feature; 7) “Child lock” is listed in the app settings but unexplained; 8) The app interface doesn’t match the Amazon screenshots — much messier, though still usable and easy enough to figure out; 9) There is no "View Waste Drawer Level" despite being claimed as a feature here on Amazon, and honestly it wouldn’t work well anyway, given how often the box misjudges the waste amount. The ability to calibrate the sensor manually would be far more useful. 10) "Health Tracking" is just usage and weight logs, not anything that provides deeper insight. FINAL THOUGHTS: The biggest design oversight is the waste capacity. Clumping litter creates large, heavy pee clumps, and this bin just isn’t built for that volume. It’s definitely not suitable for worry-free vacations. If the box only had to collect solid waste, it would perform much better. Because of that, I think this litter box will work best with crystal litter (like "Pretty Litter"). Clumping litter is simply too bulky for the bin’s size. Once I finish my supply of clumping litter, I plan to switch. OVERALL: Considering the price, I’m reasonably satisfied. It isn’t perfect, but it does enough to make daily maintenance easier. With a more polished app and the option to buy a larger, angled waste bin, I would easily rate this 4 stars, maybe even 4.5. Honestly, I might end up designing my own improved waste bin, because that alone would solve most of my current frustrations.

When the package arrived, it had all the parts. We found that It takes 2 people to put it together and it’s a little tricky but we managed to do it. I was happy that after assembly It runs fine. I do wish the cord was longer, it’s about 3 feet and I’m concerned that the protective mat that protects against leaks is made of a plastic material that my cats might tear with their claws if they scratch around too much. The round bottom area has a diameter of only about 14 inches and my cats are approximately 20 inches from their head to where their tail begins so I’m not so sure they are going to be happy in the confined space but we will see. I haven’t put liter in it yet. The company suggests that you give them a chance to get use to the sounds of it first. Lastly you have to take it almost completely apart to clean it which I’m not looking forward to doing.
