Why did you pick this product vs others?: Getting this thing out of the box and set up was reasonably straightforward. The instructions provided were helpful enough to get it running without any major issues. My cat was curious, maybe a little wary at first, but eventually started to use it. It’s a fairly large unit, so you'll want to measure your space beforehand. The cleaning cycle appears to work as intended. Being able to connect it to an app is a modern touch and lets you monitor its activity. We used our standard clumping litter and it seems to be compatable, which is very convenent. It’s certainly a different system than the traditional scoop method.

Got this unit recently and set it up without too much trouble. The instructions were clear enough and the app connected without issues. My cat was a bit unsure at first but eventually got used to it. It handles basic cleaning tasks pretty well, at least for one cat. Not too noisy, which is a plus. It does take up a bit of floor space though, so might not be ideal for tight corners. The bags included fit fine, haven't tried others yet. Still watching how it does over time, but nothing major to complain about so far. Just make sure to check the app settings when you first start.

I am giving this litter box 1 star only because I’m unable to give it 0 stars. I just got it on June 11, 2025 and of course the window to return it closed July 11, 2025. This litter box is absolute trash, let me tell you why. I spend more time trying to reset it, it stops running half way through and doesn’t finish the cycle. Other times it sticks half way through and when you try to reset it there is a clacking noise and it won’t turn because it’s off the track. If the cats use it and it doesn’t cycle, the litter weight then tells the box there is a cat inside and it won’t cycle. I then have to scoop the dirty litter out of the drum so it will complete. If there’s too much litter in it, it won’t cycle. If the sensor eye has dust on it, it won’t cycle. I spend more time babysitting this temperamental piece of trash than anything else. I had a BCHARYA self cleaning litter box for almost 2 years. The only reason I got this one is because the floor where you put the litter in the BCHARYA began to hold odor. Save yourself the headache and buy something else. They shouldn’t even give this thing away. As it is in the $300 price range, 1 month of terrible use isn’t worth it.

I’m so impressed with this automatic litter box! The setup was straightforward, and the design is sleek and modern, fitting perfectly into my home. The self-cleaning system works flawlessly — it detects when my cat uses it and automatically cycles through, leaving the litter box fresh and odor-free. It operates very quietly, which is a big plus since it’s placed near our laundry area. My cat adapted to it almost immediately, and I love how much time and effort it saves me every day. I love the self cleaning litter box. It was an easy assembly to put together. I will say though make sure you don’t turn it on for the first week so your cat adjusts to the box because the cleaning cycle definitely scared my cat at first. I only have to change out the bag once a month and I do a deep cleaning where I take it apart once every 2 months. Contains the smell very well. If you’re looking for a good model that’s more affordable than the robot litter box, then this is the one for you!

I don’t know if I’m missing something but the app does not show where to see the cats weight. I’m not happy about this because that was one of the main reasons I bought it.

I’ve been using the Self-Cleaning Litter Box for over a month now and everything is working fine. It’s easy to assemble and the app works okay.

The media could not be loaded. This litter box does not have a turn on/off button. The litter swifter has huge openings so all the poop does not drop into the waste bin. Many times, It failed to flush on its own, causing the poop to remain and creating a huge stench in the area. I had to manually, and constantly flush it because it did not always detect the use of it by my cat. Also, it left little clumps of poop, causing me to manually clean the litter because of its inability to flush all of the poop. The litter sifter needs improvement; it needs for the sifters to be made smaller so that it can contain all the poop and flush all of it, and not return to the litter tray. My larger cat weights 11-12 pounds. He was never able to use it because the urine would fall out of the tray and onto the floor. This litter box fails to work the way litter boxes are intended to function. It is definitely not worth the price nor the aggravation. I did appreciate however, that although it was the past days of return, I was able to return it and get a refund. I’m pleased, but I still need a litter robot that works effectively and efficiently. Unfortunately this litter robot needs improvements.
