We really like this. It’s made the litter box aspect of having kitties much more pleasant. It took our older cat a week to start using it. The younger one took to it immediately. We are using crushed walnut shell clumping litter, and it does a great job. You do not have to use their app. It works great with the Smart Life app, which immediately recognized the “automated litter box”. Besides monitoring use, it allows you to set the delay before automatic cleaning occurs. This allows the litter to clump a little better. You can also control how often the ionic deodorizer turns on. It does a very good job of controlling odor in conjunction with the litter. Pros: - Sturdy design. - Easy setup - Quiet. - Easy low entry for older cats - Comes complete with all accessories needed including a catch mat. Cons: Nothing serious really - It is quite large – so if space is an issue you want to be aware it is about 26” wide , 24” tall, and 24” deep. - There have been some problems with the clumped litter sticking to the drum. I gave it a light coat of cooking oil and then wiped it down. This seems to have less than the problem. - You should lift the drum occasionally and inspect to see if there is any litter that has gotten underneath it.

Debuted October 2024- so relatively new to the market! First thing I considered is hygiene. I wanted a reliable automatic litter box that would remove the waste away from my cat. I used to own traditional litter boxes of all types, and I really wanted to address them digging around in their own waste for a spot to go. I have some experience with two other brands of automatic litter boxes previous to this. Two things I addressed when deciding to try this one, was the size and the litter pan material. I did not want a 65L as that was too small; Nor did I want to work with silicone or the Teflon as the bottom of the litter pan material as this tends to be dirtier and make waste stick more. There is remarkably less waste that sticks to this pan and once it gets manually unstuck, the litter pan can easily be wiped down. I like that the 11 gallon bags that came with the unit are affordable on replacement. The cycle buttons are very reliable and easy to apply. With 5 cats, I empty the trash drawer every other day. I opted for now to empty their waste into a 8 gallon trash bag and keep the green one in place for an even greater cost savings. If you opt for this, the 8 gallon bags are sold on this platform 80 count to a roll for just $5.00. The penny pinching really helps! I chose to place the litter box units in a mostly enclosed coat room turned litter box area. There is no detectable odor with them, even with such heavy use. For a new release litter box, I am shocked with opening price is so affordable! Dakeres automatic litter box gained my trust, and I think you will have the same experience! Future consideration for this item should include a stainless steel on the inside of the drum; Plastic is porous and harbors germs; However, I feel confident buyers will see this feature in automatic litter boxes soon! Very easy to set up but wish it allowed more litter as my cats love to dig. Only one of my cats has tried to use it. Hopefully over time they will prefer it as it’s amazing to just forget about scooping and check the bag every so often.

Here's a polished version of your product review: --- I absolutely love this litter box! We found a kitten last fall, and having two cats with my first automatic scooper was a nightmare. This model has been a game-changer. It’s spacious enough for my 16lb cat and accurately detects their weight. I did notice that when the box was placed directly on the floor, the weight sensor was slightly off. Adding a piece of cardboard underneath solved the issue, and now it works perfectly. Occasionally, some litter sticks to the bottom, but running a cleaning cycle once a day takes care of most of it. About twice a week, I give it a little extra help, and once a month, I do a full deep clean. The waste bin needs to be emptied 1-2 times a week, which is easy, especially since I use compostable trash bags. Overall, this litter box has made maintaining a multi-cat household so much easier. Highly recommend!

Terrible product, after two months of use this is a nightmare. Cat pee goes straight through the machine and all over the floor and button of the unit, when it spins you can see the piss all over it. Hassle to clean. Don’t recommend

I rarely write reviews, but I just had to take the time to share how helpful this litter box is! I researched dozens of models at different price points an I am so happy that we settled on this one. It is a simple setup and really easy to maintain. I was surprised by the lack of instructions at first, but I quickly learned that it is because it is that easy of a product to use. Once you set it up, fill with litter and plug it in, all you do is pull out the drawer, tie up the trash bags and throw the used litter in the trash! I have 2 cats and one of them used it within the first day, where the other one took a few days to get used to it. If your cats haven't used a self-cleaning litter box before, I would recommend keeping your other litter box as a back up in the beginning. Because this one self-cleans, I think my cats eventually just gravitated to this one because it is the cleaner option for them. I was able to phase out my old litter box within the week. The app is somewhat generic and overly simplistic, but it gets the job done. I can see frequency of cats' usage on the app - and it even weighs the cat when they go in, so I can easily tell which cat used it. The only other thing I would recommend is be sure to empty it frequently, as the smell can get quite powerful from the litter tray part if you forget. This is definitely a must have product for me!
