This litter box is so convenient and I have not run into any of the issues other reviews talked about. Sure, it's a little loud, but what do you expect from a litter box with a motor that needs to be strong enough to drag through all of the litter and push all of the waste to the end?

Right off the bat, I was suprised at how large this litter box is! I didn’t take measurements to know for myself. It was super easy to get up and running, which I loved! I did buy litter box plastic bag liners to put in the base, and then used a plastic grocery bag in the compartment where it dumps after scooping. I filled them up, and ran a cycle to see how it worked (and to make sure it does work) and looks great! ... show more

    • Never scoop again!
This litter box has worked wonderfully so far. I come out and open the lid of the disposal box and simply toss the contents and that's it! A full cycle takes about 3 minutes for the rake to go through and although it does make a sound, it wasn't shockingly loud, just a light buzzing noise. Some noise is to be expected from anything with moving parts. The important part is that it wasn't loud enough to scare the cat away. ... show more

Got this to replace my old automatic litter box and it's mostly an improvement. It's easier to remove the waste receptacle and change the bag. Also, the waste receptacle is larger, so I don't have to change it as often as the old one. The litter area is larger, which is good for my large size cat.

After several years, my Littermaid automatic scooping box gave up the ghost, so I finally replaced it with this one. It's a huge upgrade in every way! The bin is large and easy to slide out and empty, with no fiddling with plastic inserts at all.

My cats prefer this one over my litter robot 3 so it has a tun more scooping hopefully it can keep up with them I have 5 pet house cats plus my bengal kittens until they sell so my litterboxes must work and be able to keep up with heavy traffic.

    • Open top good for larger cat
Before letting my cat use this, I did some tests to make sure it couldn't trap or crush him somehow. I put a cat-sized stuffed animal toy in it and ran it to see how the safety features work. There are sensors along the inside that detect if something is blocking their line of sight to the other side. Those would prevent it from scooping and are also used to reset the timer for scooping 10 minutes after the cat leaves. If somehow those sensors are not blocked and a cat were to get trapped behind the scooper, the scooper appears to detect an obstruction and stop. The little pressure before stopping is not enough to harm an adult cat at all. ... show more
