Love these lights! I have no other choice than to use solar lighting on my deck and purchased these lights to replace old strings that had not only finally given out after years of use but were discontinued by the manufacturer. I don't know if these will last as long as my others did but these worked right out of the box. Not only that, I only charged them for a few hours and they were still on into the wee hours of the morning. They seemed bright at first because they do burn brighter than my old lights did but they still create just the right ambience light without being too bright. I like the fact that these are made of plastic and can remain out in all kinds of weather year 'round. The bulbs also unscrew just like a light bulb so if condensation forms inside due to changing weather conditions the bulbs can be taken off and the inside wiped dry. They come with 3 ways to attach the solar panels to a surface...a stake, a clip, and a screw-on panel. I like having the choice and was over the moon when the huge clips fit nicely around my 1.5" vertical deck rails making it so easy to set the solar panels up. I needed enough lights to go along 38 feet of deck rail and bought two 27 ft strands. Why use two 27 ft strands instead of maybe one 48 ft? Each 27 ft strand comes with 12 lights, the 48 ft strand comes with 15 lights, just 3 more than the smaller strand. I wanted more than 15 lights and the 2 smaller strands gave me 24. All in all I am very happy with these lights and would definitely buy them again. Highly recommend. ... show more

Easy set up once I figured out the short solar to first bulb distance. Lights come on automatically when it’s dark but they are dimmer than a wired plug in. Sets the mood and offers minimal lighting, think party lights. I dig them but wouldn’t buy at full price.

These are really nice. I got a new house and wanted to light it up without burning electrical power so I tried these. They're crazy simple with just a on/off switch. I positioned mine to get recharged in the morning hours when the sun isn't so brutal and it's in the shade during the hot afternoons, hopefully to save the solar cells from glazing over as these do because some manufacturers use cheap plastics which become hazy after two seasons and don't work so well. Let's hope that doesn't happen to these. Anyhow, they stay on all night, unlike my other solar lights you see on the plants in the background. Those time out in 6 hours or less, which bothers me. Anyhow, these look great. If they fail, I'll update this post so we can ensure people don't buy these if/when they fail in 6 months. ... show more
