Once you really figure out how to use it, it's pretty useful. If you have even a couple droppings in the waste catcher, the litter will build up in the catcher and overflow outside of the litter box, all over the floor, turds included. So you HAVE to clear the bin after each use, but its better than scooping it, I suppose! ... show more

It worked good for three weeks. Now it makes a lot of noise and also won’t let the litter through so always backed up ( doesn’t spread it.) It is more of a hassle now then helpful.

175$ seems like a lot to pay for something that shuts off automatically every few hours, the litter piles up at the grate, and leave bare spots. I wish PetSafe still made their version of this.

I bought the item hoping it would do exactly what it said it would do but to be honest I'm unhappy with the product and what it's supposed to do. The liter gets stuck by the rake even if you use the liter that's recommended and the amount. Don't waste your money on this project. You will be very disappointed ... show more

So quiet and slow, you can't tell if it's working. Slight issue with keeping litter in. Solved by raising one end by 1.5 inches.

I was skeptical at first since I saw many not so great reviews but I decided to buy and give it a try. So far, works great for me! The size is decent and it looks like the cats don’t have enough space to do their business but they like it. My cats would usually play and make a mess with the litter so this was one of the reasons I wanted a self cleaning litter box. Problem solved! They don’t play in the litter anymore and I noticed they start to move the litter into the bin that catches their doodoo. The litter box began to make a noise for a while, and I thought it was going to break soon. Luckily no, the noise stopped after a while. I’m not sure if it was because the weight was pushed to one side and not evenly spread out. I don’t know, but it’s still working. Assembly was easy since it’s all already in one piece. So really, there’s no need for instructions, it’s straightforward. I like it, my cats like it, so I’m satisfied. A top cover would nice to better hide the litter box but that’s the least of my worries. ... show more
