I dealt with two raking style boxes for one year when recently one just stopped working. I have five cats so the electric self-cleaning boxes are a must have with so few of boxes. 1000% if you want/need a self-cleaning box this is the one, period!! I’ve tried and painstakingly returned 3 different style self-cleaning boxes; the super expensive top of the line models at that! I opted for the less expensive/labor intensive raking style for the past year and settled on the fact that with whatever box, there was going to be daily cleaning involved. However, I’m here to tell you with this box there absolutely is not!!! If your cat will climb into this style, just do it! My issue is I have one finicky guy who refuses. I’ve not placed him in it like I did with prior models, hoping he would just one day use it… or I’d have two, heck three, of this style. The more expensive models similar to this one were ugly, took up way too much space, left litter outside box on floor, and still required daily cleaning. This one, none of the above! This model is good looking, easy maintenance, and it saves a TON of litter. It has taken an hour off my morning litter box cleaning routine. Yes, I spend two hours cleaning, and dumping, and refilling the raking style boxes, and then there’s the vacuuming/brooming litter off the hardwood. With this machine, for whatever reason, only a tiny bit of litter is ever viewed outside the machine on the floor. It efficiently cleans the box (QUIETLY) and the only issue I’ve had is one of my cats is so fascinated by it, she has made it a game to make it stop if she catches it cleaning itself. I can’t stress how quiet this machine is compared to my annoying rake style (my kids actually turn the rake style off when we are trying to watch a movie it’s so loud). As for size, I have HUGE cats, there is ample room for them to maneuver around in it, so no more strays outside the box! It’s large, but unlike another model I dropped $700 on, it takes up minimal floor space/room, and it’s so much better looking. Look, I’ll clean a litter box three times a day to avoid an ugly monstrosity of a machine. With this model, No more daily raking, wiping clean, and vacuuming. You absolutely can/and prob should at least once a week observe a cycle and rake off any stuck poo, but it is not necessary, it will eventually fall out during a cycle, but I’m a clean freak and like to keep it like new. The tray is easily assessable from the front bottom, and I keep the same bag in it all week- I dump the the receptacle waste daily into our bathroom trash can with my other litter box waste and take out to trash bin to minimize trash bag waste. However, it holds a ton of waste and now I can safely skip a day if I’m rushed in the morning (unlike my other raking machine). Remember, I have five cats! If I had one or two cats, I could easily go a week before dumping it. The downside (which compared to other machines, really isn’t an issue)… you’ll need a flashlight handy to view into the actual box to check the litter level and observe a cycle to ensure it’s efficiently cleaning. Also, refilling litter will require some maneuvering with the big plastic jugs… the easiest manner would be to scoop from a box with a scoop to refill (but seriously, I’ve had this machine for one month and have only added a scoop maybe 3-4 times just to refreshen the box). It saves so much litter!!! I’ve went through two jugs with the raking machine in the same time frame. I’m almost convinced that I should just buy another (throw out my remaining raking box) and my finicky guy would start using it, he’s the only one out of my five that I haven’t seen use it. This machine saves me so much time and frustration! After reading reviews about the app, I didn’t even set mine up until recently. However, when I did, I had no issues. It only allows you to register 4 cats 😬 My cats all weigh about the same so it shows the same use for all of them. It’s getting a used and cleaned on average 9 times per day (but I have another box as well).

UPDATE: the company reached out and has done SO much to amend the issues we’ve had. They actually sent us a new litter box, which is so appreciated given our original ended up not sorting itself out after many tries. Still quite a hefty investment to make, but I’d say it’s worth it. ORIGINAL: I was initially so happy I made the leap to purchase this litter box for my home. I have back problems, so scooping litter is generally painful and something I dread. However, within the first week or so, I really felt the ease of this product. No smell, no issues, and no scooping! Also, the size and shape of this one make it absolutely perfect for a smaller apartment. It was fantastic. However, after only about three weeks of use, there have been quite a few glitches that have consequentially made the litter box unusable. Namely, clumps get stuck when disposing (despite using the correct amount and type of litter recommended/changing the type of litter), which defeats the purpose of why I purchased this. But most significantly, the rotator mechanism will either a) continuously rotate despite there being no more waste to dispose, or b) get stuck with the emptying hole facing the bottom after cleaning (when my cat isn’t around, so it’s not stopping to keep her safe or anything); both issues have been making the box inaccessible for my cat to use, and both of which have resulted in accidents outside the box since I didn’t notice the malfunction in time. We’ve gone through all the troubleshooting we could find, including here on Amazon, the provided app, forums, Facebook groups, etc., and no suggestions have seemed to help. Luckily, we kept my cat’s old box for her to use while we figure out what to do with this one, but it definitely feels like we ate $400+. I can imagine that when everything is in proper working order, this litter box is well worth the money and SUCH a time saver. However, when it’s not working, it can be a bit of a headache and a disappointment. It might be worth looking elsewhere for a different robot litter box, at least until the software kinks are worked out here.

Goes off line all the time ! It's a pain to get litter inside. Apparently someone had some splatter now I have to take it apart completely to clean it. Had to use toilet paper to dislodge chunks that did not fall through ! Tried trouble shooting & that didn't work. Can't be the WiFi/router because everything in this house is working but the dumb litter box ! I had ordered 2nd one but it's still in the box! Not impressed. It worked for 4 days and went off line when I was on vacation so my pet sitter had to clean a regular litter box! Thanks a lot people! What a waste of money. Not sure I'm even keeping this one! Don't buy one is my advice. Ok it's been a few months. I kept one and returned the other. Good grief if you've got messy cats? This thing will hold such an awful smell! Those little deodorizers do not work! Smelled rotten even though I was emptying out the bags. I have to take the whole thing apart and scrub it, dry it and reset it. Wait a while because all of the new dry litter you just put in there will dump to the bag underneath! So you have to pull the waste bag out and pour the litter back in through the top because it literally has not been used it just cycled through and emptied out all of the litter. I will buy a more expensive top of the line one next time when I can afford it. This is not part of any promotion etc. just being brutally honest. I have 5 cats and I'm still forced to use regular litter boxes in addition to this one. Hoping that I can purchase better ones and stop scooping twice a day.
