Thank you MagicScoop! 12/9/2024 Issue of getting the litter box to work after being unplugged for cleaning. I have reached out to customer service. Do email instead of calling. (Review updated) 10/20/2024 So far, I’ve had this product for a week. Taking it out of the package, the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I downloaded the app & I was able to get the automatic litter box connected to my wifi & the app immediately. It came with litter, but I put in a clumping litter my cats like as this would be something new for them & I wanted to provide some sense of normalcy. My very large 18 pound orange cat who is pretty timid, got in right away & did his business! His sister followed suit immediately after. I decided to auto clean it & watch it with them, so they know it’s okay. This thing does a THOROUGH job! It will take a while (typically less than 5 minutes) because it truly gets every inch of the litter box. It is a little noisy, but that’s not a problem for me. The cats were a little scared of it cleaning, but that didn’t last long & eventually turned into them being waiting around after doing their business to watch it clean. It’s taken a week for the container that holds the soiled litter to fill up, and there is no smell. Pros: -Big enough for 2 cats, 1 being very large -Easy to use app that lets you know when your cat is in the box, how long, when it’s being cleaned. I LOVE THE APP. You can set up an auto clean at any time, once a day, or even more frequent. You can turn off the cleaning at night (which I think is great for not overrunning the motor or if this has to be placed near the owner when sleeping) -You can use various types of litter with it -No smell -Thorough cleaning job -Long power cord -Weight sensor that would stop any cleaning in progress if your cat enters or is still in the box during a planned ahead clean -Control of auto cleans & how quickly it cleans after being used Cons: -I have a 2 year old cat that’s on the smaller side, sometimes tiny poop or pee goes between the rakes & therefore does not get picked up (this is not a deal breaker for me) Overall, I am VERY satisfied with this. I wanted an open litter box that was large, had an app, a large container to hold the soiled litter, & a sensor that would stop the box from cleaning if my cats were inside, & I truly believe this box gave me everything & more. I will be sure to update this review if anything changes. If you’re on the fence… I highly suggest it! I can’t believe I didn’t make the switch sooner!

I don't usually leave reviews but this litter box has been frustrating enough that I feel a review is warranted to hopefully save someone else money. I find myself having to manually clean this litter box once or twice daily. I use clumping clay litter which the description claims it can handle but clearly it can't. If my cat pees slightly close to the rake, the device will get "pinched" and be stuck in that position until it's fixed. It's very hard to reset it once that happens. Once you hit the reset button, you have like 10 seconds to get the scoop under the rake and get the clump out yourself. I wanted to help make my life a little simpler with one less task to do a few times a day, but now it takes even longer to complete. Total waste of money.

Pain in the butt to make the app work on my android phone. After that the thing has been running by itself for a week, cat is using it and we've been doing alright. Cat doesn't like the cat litter that comes with the machine. I've been entering the machine while running to make sure it'll stop; I'd say it stops 9 out of 10 times, fortunately it's slow moving and the parts pop off, so I feel confident enough to leave my 16 lb cat with it. I would not leave a kitten with this machine. The material is very non stick, makes life much easier. Smell is little unless cat doesn't cover poop. Needs a lot of space to set up, but it fits my 16 lb cat and that was my biggest concern; cat is chunky, cat needs space, not a dainty little box. The only thing I didn't like was that, if waste is dropped in a straight line perpendicular to the sweep, the waste gets stuck on the sweep. You can unclog it easy, it's just not great of you aren't keeping an eye on it daily.

THIS IS AN UPFATE TO A PREVIOUS 5 STAR REVIEW. I’ve had my box now since August of last year. My cat is fastidious about her litter box. She has to have it cleaned Immediately. Magic Scoop has helped me make her happy. I recently had some issues and Leon has been most helpful in helping me rectify them. I’ve also ordered twice their bags and litter which I find is superior to anything I have found on the retail market. I know there have been some reviews about the bags being out of stock, but I haven’t found that to be a problem while waiting for them to restock. I buy my trash bags in bulk from Sam’s and the small trash bags has worked great with no leakage or breaks, and the only con has been they are not drawstrings. There litter was so good they got me researching litter trying to find a comparable tofu litter while they were out of stock. All is now back on the website and I find their products superior to other boxes, bags and litter. They have been most helpful in their customer service so I’m going to give them a second 5 star review. In six months I’ve only had one small problem and with other boxes it was a weekly thing trying to get other boxes to work.

DO NOT BUY THIS! I purchased this in August 2024 because I have an older cat who needed an open-top litter box and this was one of the only automatic cleaning litter boxes of that model. It has had issue after issue. 1. The rake doesn’t scoop all the way to the bottom and the prongs are too wide so it leaves behind big chunks of dirty litter in the box. 2. The prongs on the rake are prone to breakage and bending. 3. It constantly gets jammed during the cleaning cycle even if there is no litter overload or if it was just cleaned. 4. Somehow the bags for the box are constantly out of stock and since they are a different size from other bags, you can’t just purchase a different brand. 5. After a little more than 6 months of use, it completely broke to the point I had to throw it away. There’s no support or guidance in the app to tell you what is wrong. 6. The cleaning cycle is long and loud. Don’t waste your money. Purchase a different brand. Manually scooping would be better than this.
