These anchors are rock solid, easy to install, and I greatly appreciated the inclusion of the driver socket to make installation and deinstallation super easy. They come shipped with rubber tips to cover the sharp points for storage and handling and the added brush to clean off soil and rocks makes cleanup and storage in the included bag super easy. Construction is strong and I have little doubt these would hold against all but gale force winds for a tarp or canopy. My only hesitation and star held back is if you have these years down the road and don't have the socket handy, you can't get these out turning by hand since the carabiner top portion is threaded to remove in the same direction as the screws. You'll need either the socket and a drill or a wrench. If you're a handy person that keeps tools nearby, not a problem, but wanted to point out that was my only star withheld.

The larger flighting blades on these ground anchors makes them harder to drive deep. I wasn't very impressed by these ground anchors because they have a large spiral blades (flighting) that keeps them from driving deep into my ground. The carabiner heads are not a good design because the spring pins tend to snap the rope when pulling through the heads. I have other similar ground anchors that I used in the exact same soil for securing my canopy and they were able to be driven fully in the ground using the exact same impact driver; where these weren't. The threaded stems on the carabiner heads have a much smaller diameter than the other ground anchors which makes these ground anchors seem less robust. I wouldn't repurchase.

I like the fact it comes with a 14mm 1/4" drive socket and a brush. The bag is questionable and will probably get changed out for something more robust. In operation, I used a smaller impact driver. I found that once you go it started that you should push down on it. It actually binds when you push; just let it pull itself down into the ground. I did try a 12V driver, and it wasn't powerful enough to make it budge. The driver setting on the impact driver also would not drive it into the ground. I have to use the impact setting, and that worked quickly and without much effort on my part. I used it on pretty solid ground with no large rocks. It went in without issue. Once in, I could not pull it out with all of my might, and I'm a pretty sporty fellow. This is a better anchor than sand or water bags. Of course, you're still going to need your water bags in case you need to set up on a paved or super rocky surface. I'd say the wind would probably tear up your tent or canopy before pulling these out of the ground. The only ding I would give this is the carabiner attachments. They're not bad, but I think I would prefer i-bolts or hooks. I'll probably grab a few to throw into the bag with the anchors. Also, one could run the anchors flush with the ground, put the i-bolt, and use a screwdriver to run that down further, and have a flush anchor that you don't stub your toe on in the middle of the night. Overall, an enthusiastic 100% recommended.

These anchors are great for holding down larger items (or small) and keeping them secure. We used these for my little 3ft by 5ft storage shed and it hasn't budged an inch! We've had some pretty strong storms and high winds that would more than likely have blown a shed that size away- or at least over, but it's still going strong. The ground anchors are super easy to use and even in our fairly rocky soil, were easy to drill down. The anchors come with a bit driver tool that can also be used with an impact driver so that you don't have to manually screw them down. You could also use a bit if you prefer. The tool is very durable and fits nicely. Once you get the anchors drilled into the ground, you screw the top clips into the anchors and can clip, tie, or hook your item to the anchors and secure it in place. These would be great for trampolines, sheds, carports, swing sets or playsets, slides, etc. We plan on getting more for our large trampoline and replacing the makeshift hooks that we currently have in place. Overall, these anchors are very easy to use, durable, multifunctional, and work great for safely securing items to protect them from strong winds and storms. I would definitely recommend them.
