Used in a Synology Diskstation, Synology lists it as an “approved” drive. While in the NAS I would get error messages about power disconnects from the drive. Replaced it with a WD red, issues gone. Drive works fine and passes all diagnostics in a desktop machine. Can’t really fault the drive, more likely a NAS issue. My Diskstation is about 10 years old but still works fine. ... show more

Bought a Seagate IronWolf Pro ST6000NE000 6 TB Hard Drive from this seller. The HD failed after 2 days in operation in my Synology NAS. It was operating in a RAID 5 setup, but after 2 days the drive failed not even able to enter S.M.A.R.T diagnostics to understand failure of drive.

Arrived with 3 bad sectors and the NAS would not use the Drive in a RAID 5 configuration with this many bad sectors.

    • The worst HDD I've ever bought
I purchased 7 ST6000NE000 for my Synology NAS. 4 of them are defective after installing them inside the NAS. Seagate didn't provide any support to test the drives besides the usual response "Return the product to your vendor". NEVER TRUST SEAGATE ANYMORE.
