Needed a harddrive to backup youtube videos and it works just fine only con of tgis it thatit is marketed at 500 GB but is actually 465 GB. It cod just be my device. I'm not really an elctronics person so I couldn't tell. But it is something to look out for.

The 500G works but you can't tell if it is on or not. A carefully slim buried blue LED light is not readily discernable; it is small, narrow, and buried in a sunken line. If you don't know this you may end up starting with the drive upside down and no LED at all to show activity or on or off.
