  • EXOS are noisy, but last
Capacity: 18 TB
louder read/write noise than other drives, however I have about 8 of these running 24/7 for the past few years and only had one with an issue (replaced by seller, box looked damaged during shipment). great cost per TB, and is sufficient for media and game development. would love SSD to get to this cost range per TB. ... show more

  • Excellent product and QuickDealStore is a wonderful company!
Capacity: 14 TB
I purchased two of these units on 2024.03.05. Both were able to be registered with Seagate and BOTH were at a phenomenal price! I get a 5 year warranty and these drives are MASSIVE. Highly recommend this company (QuickDealStore) and the drives (Seagate) for anyone looking to upgrade to a 14TB storage. ... show more

  • Drives are amazing & QuickDealStore is the best!
Capacity: 14 TB
These Exos drives are super fast! I am so happy with them. I dropped them in my Terramaster D5 300C and they are purring. Soo happy with them so far. Also, QuickDealStore are the best sellers I've had the pleasure of doing business with. Thanks!

  • Stay away from the 18TBs
Capacity: 20 TB
I have purchased numerous Seagate drives, internal and external, over the years, but this review is for the 18TB drives I bought on Amazon. I have purchased 3 of the 18s. The first one started to fail shortly after I bought it and I had to hustle to save data before it became unusable. The second one disappeared to large folders filled with important files. I didn't even get a notification until I noticed they were missing and scanned the drive. Recovery software could see the lost files, but only recovered a fraction of them. Later, while removing the drive from the computer, the plastic SATA clip on the back snapped off, rendering the drive unusable. I tried to transfer the piece from the first bad drive to it to see if I could boot it, but it didn't work. I bought the third 18TB in Nov 2023. Now, just 4 months later, it is starting to fail. I have to scramble once again to get my files off of it while I still can. It's strange because I have 10 Seagate HDDs in my computer, and I can't remember the last time I had a drive die on me before I could Lifecycle Replace it. But I'm inclined to think there is something wrong with the 18s. I didn't return my drives to Seagate because I don't want to share whatever data can be recovered. So I'll just eat the loss, about $1000 for the 3 drives. The next time a Seagate lets me down, I'll be switching to WD. ... show more

  • So far so good
Capacity: 14 TB
Bought 3, and all 3 work as advertised. It's using old HDD technology but seem pretty quick for the old technology. Does make the standard clicky noises. Only been using them for about 3 weeks but I'm happy with them.

  • A fat hard drive that performs well.
Capacity: 18 TB
I needed a large hard drive to back up my Blu-ray collection. This one has great specs and comes with a 5 year warranty. Make sure you register it to get your warranty and to make sure it’s not an OEM model. As it won’t have the same warranty. So far it works great.

  • A review of the Exos 14tb and of Amazon's return process
Capacity: 14 TB
This 14 tb Seagate Exos was reasonably priced and available overnight. I ordered one to add space to one of my Unraid servers. It arrived the next day but was dead. Tried on 3 different computers and none of them recognized it. So I filed for a return with Amazon and dropped it off at my local Staples that handles Amazon returns. Over the years I have bought a lot of hard drives from Amazon and other places and this was the first DOA. Figuring the odds of another DOA were very small I placed another order for the same Seagate Exos 14 tb model. It arrived the next day and is up and running with no problems. Exos drives are designed as Enterprise level drives with great performance and a long MTBF. So far none of the Exos drives I've purchased over the years have given any problems other than this one DOA. Hard Disk Sentinel tests rate it as excellent for both performance and health. Amazon issued a credit to my card shortly after I dropped off the first drive. The entire return process was quite quick and convenient. ... show more
