  • Works Fantastically Well once in place, Need to know a couple of things about Installation
Capacity: 2TB Style: SATA SSD
I was upgrading an OPTANE RAID configuration with an older Seagate Barracuda, so that presented a few challenges as I had to clear the old RAID partition on the HD once the ACRONIS software was finished. Of course you have to disable the OPTANE RAID before starting anything. Also, the current free Seagate clone software didn't like my SCSI cable connection for the SSD drive (during cloning), so I had to attach the SSD to the MB directly via SATA during the transfer. None of this would be clear to a relative novice, and I've used this product in simpler configs with no problems and through an external "Cable Matters" SCSI docking station. The drive is GREAT when installed, with my load speeds going from 0.5 mb/s to 80-100 mb/s (as measured by Task Manager). I read in various reviews that it won't win speed awards compared to other SSDs, but it seems faster than the Crucial drives I've put in over the last couple of years. ... show more

  • Excellent support and guidance
Capacity: 2TB Style: SATA SSD
The support team of ONLINE USA OUTLET, went above and beyond. They remained in constant contact with me during the installation process. They took the time to ensure that everything was working properly. I have full confidence in anything that i purchase from this seller. Jim and his team ensured and guided me through the installation as well as the proper tools to use. I am extremely impressed with their knowledge and even more impressed with their support. I have thanked the seller for taking their time and guidance, on upgrading an outdated 2013 Mac Pro computer system. I am very grateful, these guys are amazing. ... show more

  • Nice working SSD card but beware of speeds
Capacity: 1TB Style: M.2 SSD
As mentioned in other reviews, the speeds which this SSD card goes up to is 5,400 RPM, which is not the 72000 brand. These brand of SSD chips are also like long RAM chips, they are not the traditional SSD drives that came out for the bigger and thicker, laptop models. It is thin and light. I had this product installed by Geek-Squad since I am not a hardware specialist, and it has been tested to work with Windows 10 USB boot-up. This is a crucial step because if there are any problems with accepting the USB boot you won't be able to install the OS of your choice (could try with an external CD or internal CD if the machine is old but no guarantee that will work). The 1TB is actually 930 GB after a clean installation of Windows 10 with H2 edition. Plenty of space to use for MMO or heavy 3D applications such as Auto-Desk Maya. I've ran that in the background along with a movie, and a MMO and it seems to keep up with the pace without noticeable lag (with a 16GB RAM card). So far the SSD is working and I am currently satisfied with the purchase. I will be reviewing this in a month from now if there have been any changes or problems encountered. ... show more

  • Super fast drive that lives up to it's numbers
Capacity: 500GB Style: M.2 SSD
Drive performed slightly above it's rated speed (500GB model). Really easy to clone my drive with Macrium Reflect software (free version). There are instructions online if you wish to go that route. Pleased overall with the drive.

  • I am not impressed
Capacity: 1TB Style: SATA SSD
I have owned several other SSD's before, but this purchase was my 1st Seagate branded SSD. And I was underwhelmed by the slower read/write speeds and the software included. After installation I found it was Acronis trial ware. The read/write speeds are a little slower than advertised on it's product page. It's ok with a lot of the back up and image recovery software, if you want to buy it, but I am not paying for software that comes free from other vendors SSD's. ... show more

  • THIRD TIME DEAD UPON ARRIVAL! NOT GOOD SEAGATE!
Capacity: 500GB Style: SATA SSD
so, after buying a THIRD ssd from seagate, after sending back two of them that were DOA, and now theres a third. don't send me another ssd, give me my money back. this is absolutely unacceptable. would recommend Western Digital and Samsung instead, since if a drive breaks and needs to be returned, THEY WILL HANDLE IT AND NOT PASS OFF THE BLAME TO THE CUSTOMER! amazing how many times seagate employees asked me "are you sure this wasn't from user error?" to get you to admit guilt. had to pay $40 ($20 each) to send back the SSDs for a CHANCE to get a WORKING product back. total wait time now is over a month for a working drive, and counting. will be replacing my other ssds from seagate very soon, since i have a feeling they will BREAK like the rest. 1/10. STAY AWAY! ... show more

  • Works well with alienware desktop.
Capacity: 1TB Style: M.2 SSD
I am always a fan of SSD, but the product seemed to be a lot expensive for what it has to offer. For a computer programmer, the amount of extra speed offered in a M.2 is not worth the extra price. It is better to stick to a regular SSD drive, you can even get extra storage. I have a secondary SSD storage and I haven't seen any significant changes for performance among these two drives. If you are going for maximum optimal performance then I would recommend this or if you don't have a slot available for a regular SSD drive. Otherwise a big no. ... show more

  • You get what's advertised
Capacity: 500GB Style: M.2 SSD
There's not much to say... It's a decent deal for a good product. These are incredibly easy to install and it's well made. I got a 500GB as my first storage for my gaming PC. As expected, it filled up quick, but I would still say it's worth it over even a 2TB HDD. SSD boot speeds are lightning fast and I would recommend always using an SSD as your boot up storage. For new PC builders out there: if you're on a budget, get a 250GB SSD and use it as your boot storage. You can get a SATA 1TB HDD for the same price and use that to store your games. Even in-game load times take usually less than 5 seconds when I fast travel or go into another area, etc. You can get faster SSD's out there, but this one will still give you no issues. ... show more
