The hard drive is great, tons of storage, affordable but...............the power supply has two adapters, one for India and one for Europe. All of the North American users will need to buy an after market power supply. They are not expensive (10-15$$) but you will need it to use it. I chatted with Segate online and all they told me were the specs that I already had on the product. That wasted a good half hour. Anyway drive is good, worthless without an adapter if using in North America. ... show more

All the reviews about the power adapter is correct. Straight from the box, it only provides European and Indian power adapters. I had to purchase a separate adapter for European to American in order for it to work.

Received this item without knowing it was being shipped from Europe so the power adapter was also European. Not too useful here in the USA. I had a spare adapter that fit luckily but knowing Country of Origin of all products would be helpful.
