I bought these specifically for hiking and other outdoor activities. They are dark enough to block the sun, and everything in view is clear. I have a very small face, and these sunglasses fit comfortably and look great!

    • Lenses are low quality, not worth the price

I have two pairs of Ray-bans, which I bought elsewhere, they are the same product number as the pair I just ordered here. The lenses on this most recent pair are low quality, e.g. looking at a computer screen, they cause any print to look faded away, so you have to take them off. The same is to be said when I’m looking at my home phone screen, it looks like it has burn marks on it, but when I take the glasses off, they are gone. I’m finding it difficult to believe these lenses are actually Ray-Ban lenses. The two pairs of Ray-Bans I bought elsewhere do not produce these lens anomalies. I have 5 pairs of cheap sunglasses $12, that I use when I’m doing lawn work and the lenses are comparable to those, they produce the same anomalies. I do not recommend this product if you want to see what you are reading on a phone or a computer. In addition, if you touch the lenses, it leaves oily looking prints and smears on the lenses that will only wipe off with water and a lens towel, this is very inconvenient if you are on the go without access to water. Overall, the glasses are great. Polarized lenses are definitely the way to go. They can make LCD screens look funky, but i'm not in the smart phone community and i don't usually read computer screens when i am outdoors anyway... They make looking at water and shiny cars much easier on your eyes. The polarized lenses can also make tinted windows look pretty wild. Sometimes the whole sky is rainbow colors when looking through a tinted window with the sun being at the right angle. I enjoy it though, and it is nothing that would hinder driving. Just makes the world look a little different ;) One of the nose pads was slightly crooked. Nothing that couldn't be fixed with fingers and some needle nose pliers though. One of the little metal pieces in front of the ear pieces is loose also. Packaging was very poor. Original Ray-Ban box was being jumbled around in a much larger box with absolutely no padding/packing peanuts/etc. One of the arms was lower than the other as well. Again, nothing that couldn't be fixed with pliers. If you are a perfectionist and these kinds of things really bother you then just spend the extra money and go to sunglass hut. As for me, these minor problems were well worth saving $70. They are also 100% authentic Ray-Bans. When I was looking at the pictures I noticed that the snap on the case did not have Ray-Ban on it. That kind of worried me, but being guaranteed by Amazon I bought them anyway. However, the case they came in IS authentic and DOES have Ray-Ban on the snap. Lenses have the etching on the left and signature on the right. Model numbers and everything check out. The box even had the Luxottica bar code / serial number sticker on it. I bought these glasses directly from Amazon though, not another seller through Amazon. I have read poor reviews on some sellers other than Amazon itself, so be careful when ordering such a highly counterfeited item online. ... show more
