I wasn’t able to find a helpful review about the glossy steel color.. so I’m posting this. I tested on human hair extensions, black, brown and blonde. If you want the color that is on the box, you want to start with darker hair. It turns out a very attractive charcoal result. If you're looking for the "blackest black" hair color with cool undertones, this is IT. I recently switched from Revlon Colorsilk (shade "natural blue black") since it recently started to make my scalp itchy, even though Revlon was my go-to hair color for the past 7 years.
