    • Great Blower - Even Better Price!
Honestly I was a little wary of how the blower would be. I read a few reviews about the trigger, CFM not being accurate, questionable adjustments on the car wrat or, replacement parts not accessible, ect. All of them have either been exaggerated or the company has fixed everything going forward. Pros: you can’t beat the price. I was looking at Husqvana 150 and Echo 580t and honestly this blower is clearly more powerful not to mentioned cheaper. The build is solid and you can tell where the company cut corners to provide the price point of ~$325 but it’s clearly intentional and I don’t mind it one bit. It’s easy to put together, took >10mins. The back cushion is just a solid piece of foam, not fabric like Husq or rubber like echo, but honestly plenty comfortable. The straps look like a cheap parachute backpack but they work fine. The vibrations are somewhat poorly managed but honestly I don’t notice it even at full throttle. The throttle is comfortable and adjustable to lock in the speed. The pulling to start is weird at first but very simple once you get the hang of it. Starts right up 2nd pull no problem. The carburetor absolutely was perfect right out of the box but even if you did need to adjust it it’s a simple YouTube video to figure out how to adjust airflow. And if for some reason I needed a spare part their website has every possible part to replace in stock and listed for sale. Overall The company is smart, they provide the best price point and focus on what’s most important for your average home owner. Most commercial guys are looking at name brands and need to wear this backpack for hours long every day. That’s not most homeowners and definitely not me. It’s legit the best blower I’ve had the chance to use and couldn’t believe it was Under $400 it honestly should be closer to $500+ in regards to power and quality. Because of the non-Amazon return and support, I wanted to wait until the end of the season to write this review. Thankfully, my initial experience hasn't changed. This unit is the best value in leaf blowing if you need to move a lot of leaves. I recently have begun to move away from battery yard tools because the battery technology and price simply can't compete with the energy density and duty cycle of modern 2 cycle engines using premixed fuel. I have a DeWalt '60V' blower and it works very well, but even the larger 9+ah batteries simply don't have the capacity to deal with more than a small yard. I will keep using it for porch/patio/walkway use, but when you need to move acres of leaves, you need a backpack blower. This blower is comparable in performance to the higher-end 'prosumer' and pro backpack units, but you obviously get slightly less durable build quality when you pay half or under the price. Value wise for household seasonal use, that doesn't matter as much for me as performance. Longevity is a gamble, but using premixed fuel should help keep the carb clean and at a cost of $20/season for me, it's not a huge cost for the benefits. One issue that was mentioned and I found as well is that the base platform really needs a slightly larger shelf or bar to put your foot on to pull start. This unit has a very stiff pull cord unit (and even includes an extra), it's not a Honda. You will need to put weight on it to move the cord, it's a bit hard to step on it. Power wise, it's very good. Much more airflow than my other blowers. However, ultimately there is a limit to the impeller size in a portable unit and even at this higher end range backpack unit, you simply can't replicate a cart unit if you really want to 'rake' with a blower. Not the unit's fault, it's just a limitation of the form factor. I only used the straight nozzle, as I don't feel the wider 'scatter' nozzle really helps. Perhaps most surprising, this unit is very comfortable to wear. The straps are very heavily padded, and there is both a sternum and waist strap. When adjusted properly, it's been great even when I had an injured shoulder. I'm sure a pro unit is even better, but for one yard it is more than adequate. Overall, while the non Amazon fulfillment and support thing is a bit concerning, from a value point of view I can buy two of these for the equivalent at the big box store, 3+ for a Stihl or similar. With maybe 10-20 hours per year for a homeowner, I think it is worth considering. Probably not the best in every category, but for value it is king. ... show more
