  • No more fighting to start a blower!
Style: No Battery
The main reason of purchasing this cordless blower was to replace my gas blowers that I have difficult time starting them whenever I have to use them. I don’t have to go through that pain anymore. No more fingers due to pulling of the strings and missed time doing the task on time. The cost is a little bit high specially the battery was not included and I have to purchase batteries separately because I misunderstood the feature that was on the print on the box showing “20/60V compatible”. And I have a lot of 20V batteries, but then when I tried to put any of them they will not fit. I tried to contact the seller and the manufacturer but no luck. It took Amazon Customer Representative action before the seller and manufacturer contacted me for a simple verification of the feature that I misunderstood. That is not acceptable. Amazon has to mediate for a customer issue on the product is really annoying. At any rate, I found out the 20/60V flex is backward compatible not the blower. I didn’t have a choice but to purchase the 20/60 flex batteries, which us another misleading selling point. It’s states it last for 45 min of use if fully charged but when I used it it lasted only 15min on high blower output. The blower itself performs great and was very satisfied, the noise is as advertised, well below the threshold of 85 db of continued use, and more than adequate to blow all the leaf or debris in my yard. I can safely say this blower is capable and comparable to gas blower of its size. But when the cost battery is added then that is another story. ... show more

  • A company that backs their name!!
Style: 60V Battery
THE DEWALT FLEXVOLT 60 VOLT MAX BLOWER...is a great blower, I have had it for just a few months and it serves my purpose more then adequate. My last blower I had was a gas and it was for commercial use and their is no comparison between gas and battery, so if you have a really large piece of property or a few acre's then you will probably want gas. but if you are live in a residential the DEWALT is perfect, or your a contractor and need one for the job its perfect for that also, or if you don't much care for extension cords or the storage of gas then you will love it. But the main reason I decided to write this review was because the service I had, so here is my story. So the reason I bought this product was because after all the research I did on blowers I figure it was a toss up with the top two products out there, but since most my battery powered tools I owned were DEWALT, and I have been very happy with them, I decided to go with the brand that has never steered me wrong! So I bought this tool November 2020, I probably used the blower every other week and just a few months later I went to use the blower and the battery was dead, it would not charge and the cost of a new battery was over atleast $200. I tried to return it through Amazon but the warranty was no longer valid as of Jan 31, 2021, I was one week to late. So I looked further from who I bought it from on Amazon it read CPO Outlets, so I called them and they told me it was under warranty and I could Print out a return postage on their web site and send it in or stop on by for them to look at the blower. Since I was lucky enough to live with in 45 minutes away, I decided to drive to the company. Well as I pulled up to the address I saw a good size DEWALT store, I took my Blower inside for them to look at and offered to give them my information from the sight and they told me they didn't need it, they checked the blower out and the battery to see where the problem was coming from, and determined that the battery was bad and took my address and said I would receive one in the mail shortly. Before I left I ask them how can you just give me a $200. battery and not ask any questions, they told me the serial numbers and markings on each component lets them know what year and month each was made, they then told me the Blower had a 1 year warranty and the Battery had a 3 year !! I just received my battery today which is Feb 14, 2021, just a week after my visit. THATS AWESOME SERVICE!!!! DEWALT you have yourself a life long customer, Thankyou for standing behind your name. • Great blower!
Style: No Battery
Powerful, light, and not too loud. Easy to use, low maintenance, perfect for anyone at my home to use.

  • Nice little blower
Style: 60V Battery
The blowers light weight with decent power for a battery-powered blower is a lot quieter than your traditional gas-powered blower. The battery life isn’t terrible as I was able to use one battery for multiple yard tools before if needed to be recharged.

  • Works Great to Blow Pine Needles Off Vehicles
Style: 60V Battery
I use this almost daily to blow off pine needles from my truck before heading out. (This year has been especially bad due to the air pollution and dry weather affecting the pine trees.) I highly recommend this blower. PROS: You won't smell like exhaust fumes when your done and you can use it indoors without suffocating yourself; great for garages and workshops. The battery included is the DCB609 9AMP version (60V @3A or 20V@9A); usually you will see the DCB606 6AMP version on other sets. The DCB609 9A batteries are $149 alone, charger = $34.95; so your paying about $75.55 for the blower. The DCB609 6A batteries which run about $116 bucks WILL WORK, although your run-time is reduced by 33%. As a side note they just now (Nov 2018) make a monster DCB612 12AMP battery; I've not tried this 12A version yet as they don't come with any kits that I've seen and they are $200 each. CONS: This uses 60V Flexvolt Batteries ONLY, your 20V Dewalt batteries WILL NOT WORK. I've not had any belt issues with the unit but others have reported this problem. My guess is that many users have had particles or rocks in the belt system which would chew it up quick. This said I'm not sure why they would go with a belt verses a gearbox, probably heat or friction reasons. After one year of heavy use I've noticed the battery life dropped by 20%. I run this unit until the batteries dead and then fully charge before the next use. Advice = Don't trickle charge the batteries, lithium cells have fairly high internal resistance so they won't discharge on you for many months. Summary: This unit is a 9 out of 10, it's worth it for the battery that comes with it if you have other 20V or 60V Dewalt tools. Don't buy the kits that have 20V batteries, they wont work in this unit and the 60V (only) Flexvolt line of tools blows away (ha ha) the 18V/20V "legacy" line. ... show more
