    • Powerful and Good Battery Life...
The EGO Power+ LB5804 580CFM Blower is an awesome blower and I am glad that I purchased it. It is so powerful that you don't have to use it on its most powerful setting. If there is a tough spot, just press the Turbo button and and its gone. Since you don't have to use the powerful setting all the time, your battery life will be extended greatly. In a great video I watched, a man compared at least a dozen comparable units, side-by-side, and the EGO 580CFM had the most power and the best battery life. The first time that I used it I found myself using more power than I needed and still got 35 minutes out of it. That allowed me enough time to remove all leaves from around my house. Also, it comes with two nozzles, one focused, and one which spreads the air out a little bit for blowing a flat surface such as a porch or garage floor, so you really don't have to purchase additional nozzles. I only wish that the unit was a little shorter. In one online video review it showed a man whom was able to adjust the length by turning the tube, pushing it in, and then turning the tube, but mine does not have this function. The length is not a problem at all except when I am between the house and the shrubs, things get pretty tight with a long tube and a nozzle. The corded blower that I had been using before was from off of my Craftsman Shopvac, and I could replace the tube with just a nozzle, making the total length about 18". That was great except that I had to deal with a cord. For tight situations, you can reduce the length of the EGO by 4" by removing the nozzle from the tube. I would be reluctant to try to use it with the tube removed because the tube serves as a reduction tube putting back pressure on the motor and creating a more focused and powerful flow. Without the tube and the engineered backpressure, I would be afraid that the motor may over-rev which could cause damage. Regarding weight, it is not bad so I do not feel a need to get an optional shoulder strap. Perhaps it would be nice if you have a long driveway to clear. Overall it is a great blower, along with the rest of the EGO line of products which you will now have a battery and charger for. Go for it! ... show more

    • This is the best thing that's happened in a while...
I had a Ryobi blower and the battery seriously lasted 5 minutes. It was a nightmare. I received this yesterday and I can't even discharge the battery if I try. I went all over my property and did a year's worth of blowing, and I was so pleased with this blower. The power is amazing, the size is perfect, the weight is not light but it's all in the battery and even for me, a 5'3" petite woman, it was manageable. Hands-down, it's worth the extra weight to have a better battery and more power. WOW. I can't even explain how great this blower is, you would have to try it for yourself but I am confident that if people saw me with it, they would likely feel quite inadequate with just about any other blower. It's really THAT powerful. After my struggles with the cheap Ryobi blower, I was very apprehensive about getting another cordless blower - but then I realized, previously, I had bought the cheapest, worst blower available without doing any research. Now, I have probably overcompensated and got a super-powered blower that may not be necessary but I sure enjoy using it - it makes the job easy. AN UPDATE It's been a few months since I got this and I am still impressed with the power and battery efficiency. I do not at all regret going on the over-powered side for this item. I use it at least twice a week and I am able to quickly clear areas of leaves and debris. It's so powerful I can blow gravel back into plant beds. The design is great. I don't really use the variable power knob, I just squeeze the trigger, but I love how you can get a little or a lot of power with the trigger. I also like the power boost, it's easy to access during use, and it gives you a nice boost when needed. The battery charges quickly considering how much time you get out of a full charge.     • 580 CFM not on par with gas blower, but much more convenient to use
This is a 580 CFM (cubic feet per minute of air) leaf blower. This blower is "good enough" but not on par with my gas blower (rated LESS at 430 CFM). However, this is significantly lighter and much more convenient to use. I.e. - I just pick it up and go whereas the gas blower needs to be primed, pull started, is much noisier, heavier, smelly and you get contaminated with the smoke. The gas blower does blow much harder although rated "less" - go figure and don't believe all the marketing crap. I assume the latest EGO 765 CFM would blow even harder, but I'm skeptical that it would noticeably be harder vs my gas powered one. I also have a smaller Milwaukee M18 450 CFM blower that is even MORE convenient than this EGO 580. It's even lighter, smaller and much easier to maneuver. However, it doesn't blow as hard as the EGO 580 and the battery is much smaller and, consequently, doesn't last as long as the EGO. The EGO 5 Ah battery lasts forever with this blower. ... show more

I mean it really blows. Very good power with good battery life. Reasonable weight and seems to be well made.
