When I saw this with a battery start feature It caught my eye! I have been moving over from small gas engines to 192V Battery mowers, 40V chain saws, etc. I just purchased a new home and it’s in the mountains surrounded by trees. And my battery blower just can last long enough on a charge to be usable. I thought the electric start was a wonderful compromise. No yanking on a pull start till my arm falls off! I did read all the other buyer’s negative reviews (and there are a lot of them) When it arrived, as I unboxed it and put it together it was love at first sight. Very Modern looking excellent harness system and easy to use hand controls.! However my love affair was short lived…. After mixing the 2 stroke fuel 40-1, priming it and charging the battery, it did start up. Not exactly first time but it only took me a minute to realize you had to hold the start button down untill it was running steady. So far so good. Then I gently used the throttle trigger (other reviews said the throttle had to be used slowly) but as soon as I touched the throttle, the auto choke triggered and went from full closed air intake to fully open. And the sudden mixture change stalled the blower IMMEDIATELY ! I followed all the fault finding instructions and non of that helped at all. Was tempted to box it up and send it back. But being an engineer the challenge of getting this beast to work became a personal challenge! I quickly realized that if I used my finger to control the auto choke I could pull the throttle trigger while slowly opening the choke to 1/2 way, the leaf blower fired up and blew like a hurricane! My final solution is not pretty but it IS EFFECTIVE! I drilled a hole in the plastic air intake and put in a 2 inch deck screw that prevents the chick from opening further than 1/2 way. I also found that after about 5 minutes of running the engine seemed to be starved of fuel. I took off the brand new clean fuel filter and that resolved the issue. Guess I’ll just be carful not to get crud in the tank I did find a manual for another lawn master blower that uses the exact same carburetor and chock system. It gives you the adjustment for ideal speed min speed and max speed. But it needs a special offset pin carburetor adjustment tool. I’m going to order a set of the carburetor adjustment tools, and see if I can adjust the system to allow it to work minus my ugly screw work around. I wanted to hate this little BEAST…..but I just CANT! It took me a whole day to get it running well. But when it did it was comfortable to wear ran for a long time on a full tank of gas and moved all the leaves for me with ease ... show more

I purchased this on Prime day, so I bought this on sale. Partly the reason I purchased. I have owned this now several months, about 2-3 tank fulls of fuel run through the machine. I wanted a backpack style blower mostly for the power it has. It has greatly surprised me. Battery charged fine, followed the instructions on the label. Primed the bulb a few times and it fired up. The start up sequence and choke are completely automated. I suppose it was to be understood, but I like details. I kept pushing the button for just a second or two. It didn't want to start at first. I finally understood you have to HOLD down the button. It will go through a choke cycle before and during start up. Once I understood this I have had zero start up issues. Others have mentioned it's heavy, I don't find it heavy and neither did my wife. Several women have used it and they love it. The only detraction, is I was expecting more CFM, but it's definitely adequate. Happy Customer. ... show more

Finally got a chance to use the backpack blower model. Was having a time with it starting original with it being electric start until I realized you can hold down the start button and it will continously turn over until it picks up and runs but only when it's cold. Once it's warmed up it only takes one tap of the button and it fires right up. I very impressed with the power it has and the air it puts out. Probably going to buy the 26cc string trimmer when it becomes available next. Also couldn't beat the price with the discount I got ... show more

I have a like/dislike relationship with this blower. It took a long while to get it started the first time but since has started more easily. However, I find I have to be careful when using the throttle. If you are too fast in pressing it in, the engine tends to die. Every use gets easier I think because I am learning how to "baby" the throttle. ... show more

I loved this blower from the very beginning. But 2 years down the road the air filter knob will not stay on so my air filter ends up on the ground. I just called Customer service after trying every thing to replace the knob to no avail. Well the knob was going to 5.03 plus shipping and handling 8.39. Then she gives me a total of 22.00. I told her to forget it. That is ridiculous. This equipment has been well maintained and this is a faulty screw that should have been covered under the three year warranty. I cancelled the order and will be going to my small engine repairman as I'm sure he will be less than that. I would not reccomend the product now. ... show more
