    • Lite and easy to use.
This unit is very lite and easy to use. I especially like the variable speed control integrated into the handle. Battery life is ok, but I recommend getting a second battery. Also, the product description could state more clearly that the package does not include a battery or charger.

I really like this product. It's lightweight, easy to handle, and has a stay-on button so your finger doesn't get tired from pushing down on the trigger. It's far easier on the wrist and works as well as any gas blower, and with less noise. No ear protection is necessary. I love it... However, the only drawback is a single 20v Dewalt battery will give you about 20 minutes of continuous use. If you have 3 charging stations and 3 other batteries, you can keep them charging (a full charge takes about an hour,) and run it 'round the clock. Luckily, I do. But if you don't it's an investment. Last I checked it was $69 per battery. One more thing: I would say this tool is for small-medium sized jobs. Perfect if you own a home on a lot or small property. But I wouldn't use it for 2 acres of heavy leaves. In summary, I love this blower and I think it's a worth-while investment as it is easier to use, less noisy, and does the same job. Very handy to carry and use, not excessively heavy. Adequate for leaves on the drive, but not for blowing water off a newly washed vehicle, for example. Battery does not last very long IMO. It's fairly loud, so would recommend ear protection. So, not as powerful as I would have hoped, but am pleased nonetheless. ... show more

Overall this is a good little leaf blower. There are some things to consider though: Yes, the battery life is shorter than you'd want (roughly 20ish minutes) but that's to be expected with electric vs gas powered items of this nature. Yes, it is important to recognize if you're doing a patio, smaller lawn, etc. or an acre of land which hasn't had any upkeep in over a year. You're gonna have to lower your expectations on how much you can get done with a single battery if you have a lot of work. Other than that it is a good machine and if you count rechargeable battery versus gas tank filling, I consider it worth the slight "faults." ... show more

    • Convenient and powerful
This is probably one of my favorite Amazon purchases. Bearing in mind that it is powered by a battery and not a gas engine, this is a powerful blower for its size. The thing I like the most is that it is convenient and easy and there are no fumes, so it’s safe to blow out your garage or other small enclosed spaces like sheds. The one negative is that the battery won’t last long enough to blow an average sized driveway and patios.     • Great (for a battery blower)
Needed a blower that my wife could use to blow off our large deck. It's light and fits the need well. Used a 5ah XR DeWalt battery. It lasts long enough to get the job done but the battery does get a little warm running the blower at full power. For bigger jobs, I use our Stihl gas blower. Read a few reviews before purchasing. Some people try to compare a battery blower to a gas model. There is no comparison. I haven't used it to dry after washing a car, but I'm sure it will work fine. It's about 1/2 the price of a good gas blower and is very handy to use. It's also nice that the air suction is on the back of the blower. Most gas ones pull air from the side and it can be a little annoying. Just get it! ... show more

While I like Dewalt products I am finding this is still a basic "home use" level blower. It does operate as designed but I am also finding that it runs even the higher amp, larger size batteries of their full charge relatively quickly. I am comparing battery time to my 20 volt home use Black and Decker blower, which lsts longer even though it is five years old. ... show more
