This was bigger than I expected it seems like plenty of room for a dwarf hamster (although she had to get used to walking up the ramp she's a pro now) I love that it's two stories and comes with wheel, water and food cup. Super easy to put together. Took less than 10 minutes. Sleek and nice design not those bright obnoxious colors. I love that this is lightweight and easily movable and that the bedding is secured below in plastic so that it won't come out. My son can basically move him wherever he wants without worrying about it making a mess. The fact that it slides out makes it so easy to clean and already has a place for the hamster to hang out at the top while the bedding is being changed. It's cool that it's see through also so that you can see her wherever she goes when she's not burrowing. So much more space than the cages at the pet shop that cost almost as much but cheaply made. Lastly it doesn't seem to smell as much since the bedding and waste is at the bottom in the plastic. Very pleased with this! ... show more

Like many reviewers mentioned, the clear drawer bin arrived with a large crack. I used clear packing tape to “fix it.” Not bothering to replace it as that may also arrive cracked. Overpriced for it to arrive cracked. Also, this is too small for a Syrian hamster (no matter the age), and too small for adult dwarf hamsters! Also too small for an adult Siberian Hamster (aka Dwarf Russian, Winter White, Campbell, Sungorian). Maybe a temporary enclosure for one, none fully grown Siberian hamster. Good temporary enclosure for a Chinese Hamster (aka Robo, Roborovski). ... show more

This cage is very roomy and my hamster loves it! Originally, he had a small CritterTrail cage that my Teddy Bear hamster felt very tight and limited in, and at first he was very skeptical about his new cage, but once he was exposed to it enough, he ended up falling in love with it. We put him in there for 10-15 mins at a time (about 2-3x a night) until he was comfortable being in there for longer / sleeping in there. For him, it took about 4 days until he was comfortable. Assembling it was very easy. You just snap the pieces together and the instructions were very clear. No tools needed!! It took me about 10-15 min to assemble it together, and then i just added the food into the bowl & added bedding to the downstairs. The only thing is that the wheel is too small for my Teddy Bear hamster, so I traded this one with the old wheel my dwarf hamster had and he loves it, but it is very squeaky. Other than that, this cage is like a mansion & im sure your hammy will absolutely love it! This is a solid purchase and worth every penny. ... show more

Upon putting this cage together, I noticed that one of the sides of the cage bows and isn't flush. It's hard to see within the photos, but for the price I expected quality. Every time you pull out the bottom bin, the top part moves up and makes things very inconvenient. The wheel and bottle arrived broken. Which is fine, because they were very poorly made. The wheel is way too small for any hamster. Overall, I am dissatisfied with this product and will be returning it. The only upside is that it is easy to clean. ... show more

    • Nice design, wish it was larger
We bought this in April. It arrived damaged with a crack in the corner, but we kept it. The ladder broke too so my daughter uses a paper towel tube and it can get up onto the second level. It was $100 when I purchased it. It's now $130. Her robo hamster loves it though. It loves sleeping in the wheel and it likes the fact that it can run around upstairs without all the bedding. We replaced the wheel to a larger, quieter one and the water bottle too. It is a nice design. I would love to see it larger(double size). I wouldn't pay $130 for this at this size. We are thinking of doing one of the Ikea hamster cage hacks so that it can run around more. ... show more

    • Combines cage with aquarium. Easy to see and access all areas of cage. Perfect size.
PROS - This hamster cage is a good size, I don’t know what people are talking about saying it’s small. - The cage door that opens is large and you can easily access all the spots of the cage. - When you slide out the bottom part to clean, you can keep your hamster locked in the top compartment which makes things easier. - The water bottle is not bad and doesn’t leak, as long as you install it the right way. You need to put the metal straw in it a certain way for it to work without leaks CONS - The wheel is small, but I found the largest wheel possible that will fit in this cage. It is called the “Habitrail OVO Wheel”. I have a fat female Syrian hamster and she fits in this wheel and runs fine. The wheel is about 7.25 inches in diameter. - When sliding out the bottom compartment you have to slide it out a little, then stick your hand in and lift up the ladder, which could be annoying. ... show more
