What a wonderful new hamster cage. Just, arrived in great shape! Putting it together was a breeze! I have always had a hamster since I was a young child... so I have had been around many types of cages over the years. I really enjoyed the Habitrail Series with all their types of tubes for them to run around in, I am sure my hamsters did too. However, the draw back was cleaning. It took me hours if I had a big set up. Plus, handling the hamster was near impossible as they would always head for the nearest tube. So here comes this very modern Savic Cage called the Geneva.. It is SPACIOUS for the hamster, easy to clean and above all is easy to get the hamster out! That is the most important part! Now, I get “Chewy “ out every night and he is so tame! So, you can either look at your hamster like fish in an aquarium ( Habitrail ) or enjoy his/ her company every night running around in your hands. The ONLY draw back is the size of the wheel. I just wish Savic would have made it somewhat larger. This change would make the cage absolutely top of the line!!!! Anyway, it is doable. Not the best but, doable. So, bottom line, this is a mighty fine cage. Definitely would buy one. The money is worth it! Found a nice silent wheel on Amazon.! Just type in “hamster wheel” in the search box. Large enough for any normal sized Syrian hamster! My cage is now outstandingly perfect !!!! The wheel is called a KAYTEE Silent Spinner. ... show more

Two orders & broken wheels both times. Extremely disappointed. First order arrived with a broken wheel, cracked in multiple places. We returned first order, long refund process, reordered again once refund was received and the second purchase arrived with the same problem; a broken wheel. I do not want to go through the hassle of returning item again but its no good with broken pieces. Not safe. Hope to hear back with a solution that is quick & convenient. I will update review if/when resolved. Our daughter had saved her money to pay for this item herself. She worked for every dollar since it involves responsibility on her part. She is waiting to setup this home for her new pet before purchasing pet. Waiting very patiently yet now we are all discouraged with the quality of this item we found online, not once but twice. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love my cage and so do my gerbils…. But few things. The bottom Plastic part was cracked so I popped it back into place and it’s still usable and the wheel was broken and cracked and very squeaky when it turns I’m on able to use that. The bottom is also a little hard to pull out. I do love this cage and it is sturdy and very easy to clean but I just don’t think it’s worth how much it is. ... show more

    • Best habitat for my son's dwarf hamster Princess Peach
This was bigger than I expected it seems like plenty of room for a dwarf hamster (although she had to get used to walking up the ramp she's a pro now) I love that it's two stories and comes with wheel, water and food cup. Super easy to put together. Took less than 10 minutes. Sleek and nice design not those bright obnoxious colors. I love that this is lightweight and easily movable and that the bedding is secured below in plastic so that it won't come out. My son can basically move him wherever he wants without worrying about it making a mess. The fact that it slides out makes it so easy to clean and already has a place for the hamster to hang out at the top while the bedding is being changed. It's cool that it's see through also so that you can see her wherever she goes when she's not burrowing. So much more space than the cages at the pet shop that cost almost as much but cheaply made. Lastly it doesn't seem to smell as much since the bedding and waste is at the bottom in the plastic. Very pleased with this! ... show more

Upon putting this cage together, I noticed that one of the sides of the cage bows and isn't flush. It's hard to see within the photos, but for the price I expected quality. Every time you pull out the bottom bin, the top part moves up and makes things very inconvenient. The wheel and bottle arrived broken. Which is fine, because they were very poorly made. The wheel is way too small for any hamster. Overall, I am dissatisfied with this product and will be returning it. The only upside is that it is easy to clean. ... show more

Took a few days for my hampster to get use to this cage because he was not used to seeing out of his cage. Now he absolutely loves it! I love this cage because being able to pull out the bottom while keeping him up top with the trapdoor I am able to clean it so much easier than his old cage. Hands down this cage is a win win for me and I highly recommend! ... show more

Sides are bent. Leaving a gap from platform to wall. The wheel also was delivered broken. Room is spacious but it being damaged upon arrival for the price paid for the cage is not worth it.
