This is a wonderful little flash drive - incredibly useful! I do a lot of work on the road, where I am transferring files from my computer, to hotel business center computers for printing, to my phone for sending when I don't have internet, and this little thing is a huge timesaver! I have all those apps and premium programs that are made to do all those things over the internet, but even when I do have internet, I'm often frustrated with the amount of time it takes, or that a file I just saved and uploaded on my computer isn't showing up yet on my only cloud application on the printing computer, or a file is too large to upload... It's always something. I do that sort of thing all the time and so I pay the for the premium products to make them work, and since I've gotten this, it has saved me so much time, so many headaches, and so much frustration - which equals money, because when I am frustrated with my technology, I lose my motivation to work. My sister actually introduced me to this little guy after our last family vacation. Of course every used their phones for pictures, so while we were waiting in the airport, tired and just ready to be home, my sister asked if she could get my photos from me. Being the grouchy traveler I am, I gave her that look that said "you don't seriously expect me to mess around with that now" and said let's do it later, which typically ends up being several months later, if we ever get around to actually doing it. Then, she pulls this tiny device out and says I don't need to do anything. I'm very skeptical at this point because I am the techiest of all my family members - to say the least, she is not very adept at this sort of thing. I knew she'd start it, not be able to get it to work and then I'd be called to service. Then the most amazing thing happened. She plugs this into my phone, selected the photos of mine she wanted, and in record time, she pops it out and it's done. Just like that. Then she even adds my photos to my brother's phone, and grabs copies of his. I'm still amazed. Worth the money for that alone.     • Awesome USB drive, I now have two of them!
This is a great product for android users. I personally keep one on my key chain that I have with me at all times. This is especially useful for all of those Samsung Galaxy S6 users out there (myself included) where your phone does not have micro SD or any other place to offload photos and videos. I personally shoot a lot of video and take many photos on my phone. Even though I have a 64GB phone, I would keep finding myself low on space becasue of how much space 4K (or my current favorite for my phone 1080p 60fps) take up. This drive is quick enough and does the job. My minor gripes with the drive are that if you want to put this onto a key chain, you will need to get a tine keyring so that the drive lies flush to the keys. I used mine for a while without one, but I bought a second one and then I really needed the small rings. Also, when in use with a computer, the drive does get hot, but you will not burn yourself on it. I also like that while it does have an app, you don't have to use it, and I have not even bothered downloading it, because the built in file manager is easy enough to use with this drive. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend this to potential buyers. This is truly an awesome product that actually can save you in a pinch when you are trying to download an app or capture a special moment and your phone complains about not having enough storage. ... show more

Good quality and very small. My only issue is that the locking for the slide mechanism feels weak, so you might have to get the angle right or use your finger to keep it in place.

    • Great Product! Extends memory on the Kindle Fire HD 4th Generation

I'm using this Flash Drive with my Kindle Fire HD 6 4th Generation with 8GB memory and it works great. Works exactly the same as the Amazon USB Adapter cable for Fire Tablets (4th Generation). This adapter allows me to view movies, photos and listen to music all offline and without using the internal memory on my Fire. It's a USB 3.0, so file transfers are very fast from my computer USB 3.0 to this drive. On the Kindle Fire I'm using the ES Explorer app and VidOn Player HD app to access movies, photos and mp3 files. To access the USB flash drive I open the ES Explorer app then tap on the three bars in the upper left corner of the screen. Tap on the local tab and select the usbotg tab. This opens to show the folders on the USB flash drive (I use Video, Pictures and Music folders). Slider on the flash drive seemed a bit ackward at first but I realized I needed to press down on the button to make slide smoothly. The Kindle Fire HD 6 4th Generation recognizes this drive as an otgusb device. Having used both the Amazon USB Adaper cable and this SanDisk drive I must say I like this mini USB flash drive better since it's overall size is smaller and it's easier to handle without the cable. ... show more

Unfortunately, the first one of these I received ended up failing within a week, however, I got it replaced quickly and don't think that one was very representative, especially having used SanDisk products many times before. The second one, on the other hand, has been quite awesome! I use it for school projects all the time and with 64GB of space I have a lot of room to work with. Sometimes I work on my Nexus 10 tablet, and being able to directly save to this from that is really nice! Unfortunately, my Galaxy S4 Mini is unable to read this flash-drive, but that is a limitation of that phone, not of this flash drive. (I'd advise making sure your phone supports USB OTG before purchasing this or any similar flash drive) As expected, this will take advantage of a USB 3 port or work just fine in a USB 2 port. I'd always been a fan of the SanDisk Cruzer series, I liked the retractable aspect, so this flash drive is not only very functional, but also really cool as well in my opinion. ... show more
