Great backup solid state drive. Wish it was less expensive, but I will pay the cost for the reliability that ScanDisk always provides. I am photo artist and several years ago I lost an entire years worth of work due to a hard drive failure. That was a painful lesson that I will not repeat. I can't wait for spinning hard drives any more; they're too slow. I still use some for redundant backups, but updating them takes forever. These drives seem to come with quality cables that give good speed. I also have some purpose-built Firewire 4 cables that are probably a little faster. I don't have the software to measure read/write speeds but they're definitely not slow. I have several of these drives, ranging from 1-4 TB and so far, zero problems! ... show more

Fast . plugged into thunderbolt 4 port . note: the usb 3.2 Gen 2x2 drives require a 2x2 ( 2 Lane port ) i do NOT have that . Thunerbolt 4 may be more available .
