This is my first portable SSD and it’s certainly pricey, but I think it’s worth it. Would’ve considered T7 but went with this whatsoever because of its rubber finish. Lets talk about speed, I had about 3TB data in one of my portable HDD and it would take DAYS to transfer all that data from the drive to my computer but now it only takes about few hours to get them all out, of course your computer will need to be capable for it, which makes my life much easier. I also liked how I could add password protection to the drive through the software so I think the price you are paying is worth it. ... show more

My primary use of SSD storage is for photo trips. This device continues Samsung's delivery in producing fast high quality storage devices. I have several of their earlier SSD units. They are fast, reliable, light weight storage options. However, I prefer the metal exteriors because I need to tape a short list of the years of trip on each drive. The current external finish is more like a rubber finish. This forces me to wrap tape around the entire drive to prevent the label from falling off. My decision about purchasing additional T9 SSDs will depend on a change in the external finish. ... show more
