    • Incredible speed with excellent cooling
Style: 9100 PRO w/Heatsink Capacity: 2TB
This Samsung 9100 PRO SSD is absolutely blazing fast! The read speeds up to 14,700 MB/s are phenomenal - my system boots in seconds and large files transfer instantly. The included heatsink keeps temperatures perfectly stable even during intensive workloads. Installation was straightforward with clear instructions. The PCIe 5.0x4 interface delivers incredible performance that's noticeable in everything from gaming to video editing. The build quality is excellent - feels very premium and well-constructed. The 2TB capacity provides plenty of storage for games and projects. Samsung's reputation for reliability gives me confidence in longevity. This is an outstanding investment for anyone building a high-performance PC. Best SSD I've ever used! ... show more

    • Amazing for PS5pro!!!
Style: 9100 PRO w/Heatsink Capacity: 2TB
Glad I waited on an SSD expansion for the PS5 pro. This drive is so blindingly fast! I had to buy shades. Haha! It transferred 1.2 TB of data in about 4 minutes from the PS5Pro host drive. The 2TB price was only $10 more than the previous 990 version for 2025 black Friday. But the 9100 model is twice as fast, runs cooler and uses less power. Win-win-win. Although it's overspec'd for PS5, it is backward compatible. So more is better IMHO. Since it specs way above PS5pro requirements, I'm all ready for PS6!! Super easy install, but be sure and watch MULTIPLE videos if you haven't done this before. There's about 8 steps to the process including tips n tricks. For instance, PS5pro opens from BOTTOM for this storage expansion. Every video I watch seemed to leave out one or two or three aspects of this procedure. By watching multiple videos you'll get ALL of the information you need not just part of it. - I will update if there is any issue with longevity. Would definitely buy again. ... show more

    • Yoo, this thing is fire. Price now for the heatsink, though. Noooo.
Style: 9100 PRO w/Heatsink Capacity: 2TB
It's stable and easy to install in a desktop computer. Never think it will fit in some laptops because it probably will not, and you can't remove the heatsink or you'll void the warranty per the sticker. It's well built, like most Samsung products—lol. Its heatsink has some weight to it, and the material feels heavy-duty. Its storage capacity is enough—2TB—but at this point, the price is a sharp no. I got this thing when it was around $480 because I saw it jump from about $450, but now it's $700. Consider that these things were just about $180 a few months ago. Look, this isn't about the drive itself—take into consideration that they haven't gotten any better; they're just more scarce. So, the real advice I can give you is to buy any PC-related components you can now because you might not be able to later. The "build a PC" and "upgrade your stuff" game is about to die. Anyway. Drive rocks if you can afford it yahooooo ... show more

    • Good Performance, But Hard to Justify the Price
Style: 9100 PRO w/Heatsink Capacity: 4TB
This SSD is solid, but honestly not a huge leap over PCIe 4.0 drives. You can see a small difference in speed, but in real-world use it’s not dramatic enough to really justify the higher price. One thing I did notice is that it runs hotter than expected, even with the heatsink, so that’s something to keep in mind depending on your setup. That said, it is Samsung, and their reliability and build quality are always top-tier. If you want the latest and best, it delivers—but for most people, a good PCIe 4.0 drive will get you very close for less money. ... show more

    • While Samsung drives are usually good, their Customer Support is terrible.
Style: 9100 PRO w/Heatsink Capacity: 4TB
While Samsung drives are usually good, their Customer Support is terrible. Think about this before you buy one of these drives. My situation: I bought a 9100 PRO 4GB from Amazon a couple months ago. Yesterday (too late to return) Samsung's software application - Samsung Magician - recommended I upgrade the firmware in my 9100 PRO from 0B2QNXH7 to 1B2QNXH7. When I did the NVMe drive became bricked, unreachable in any way from Windows, Linux, or BIOS. No setting changes in BIOS affected anything. The drive became completely invisible to the computer. All data gone. When I went to the Samsung site to research this firmware update, it turns out several other people had the same experience as me. So I created a write-up about my situation, and my computer's stats, and posted it, hoping it might help. My post disappeared seconds later. Using a direct link to my post the site said it was deemed 'inappropriate' and 'spam', even though it was the first time I'd posted. I submitted it again, same response. Samsung moderators were blocking any new posts about how dangerous this firmware update could be to users. Pretty incredible behavior. I've heard stories about Samsung customer support, but this is the first time I experienced it first hand. Be careful, Samsung does NOT stand behind their products if something goes bad. ... show more
