A good M.2 drive is worth its weight in gold and it will make your system so much snappier and faster and work better all around for a pretty affordable price. Easy purchase especially since Samsung has a software suite that allows you to copy your old hdd or ssd to the m.2 and its super easy to use and works perfectly. I ordered this drive as an experiment to speed up my 6 year old laptop with a 7th Gen Intel i3 processor. It worked better than I expected. Load time from power on to the Windows login is down to 6 seconds, and the shut down time is much quicker as well. The Data Migration software is easy to use and took 20 minutes to clone the old mechanical SATA drive that was in this laptop. I'm ordering another one for my backup desktop and expect the results to be very similar. Update: I got the second one installed in my backup desktop. Cloning was less than 10 minutes to complete. The 1 TB drive does work with Windows 11. The old mechanical drive is now out of the computer and stored for a back up should I have to do some sort of restore or recovery I have it available for that purpose. ... show more

The only fly in the ointment is that Samsung's Magician didn't want to work with my system - probably because the NVMe being replaced was NOT Samsung, so it wouldn't recognize the Samsung memory I was going to use as the replacement. ... show more
