When I tried to cook some bacon on the griddle it stuck to the surface more than anything I have ever seen. Eggs with the bacon grease were a total disaster. The surface is not like any enamel I have seen it's very rough and has no sheen what so ever. I called and talked to Weber about it and sent in the pictures and was told the surface was normal and correct. Weber's instructions say to use oil on the food not the griddle but at the end of the call the rep told me to use a cloth with some oil on it. I could have bought a cast iron piece for a lot less and seasoned it. Weber normally has good stuff; I still believe this one is just defective. ... show more

Used to saute onions and then thinly sliced steak to create to create my version of philly cheese steak. Worked great and the sandwiches were the best. Price was good, delivery fast. What else could you ask for?

    • A few things I didn't like about this
A few things I didn't like about this, but it may simply be from what we were cooking. 1. I ordered one at $45 and it was cancelled by the seller. Only to be changed to the full $79 retail price, where I ordered it once more without issue. And now it is back down to $45 so...not happy about the price gauging. 2. The surface of the griddle is not smooth as expected. It is rough enough that food would stick to it. While cooking pancakes, even after oiling it, I could not get a single pancake to come off smoothly. Meats and veggies may be fine, but for anything fragile, it doesn't work very well. ... show more
