  • Awesome vacuum! Remember to buy a second battery!
Coming from multiple Dyson’s I can definitely say this Samsung is worlds better! Yes, like all battery powered devices, the battery does eventually die. To those who have a problem with this, half the purpose of this vacuum is that the base can simultaneously charge both the battery in the vacuum and a second battery simultaneously. If you can’t be bothered to spend another $80 on a second battery you probably shouldn’t be buying an $800 vacuum cleaner in the first place! Also this is 2023, peripherals for expensive electronics are always an additional aftermarket expense. If you were to buy a PlayStation 5 and then complain that you can’t play video games with your friends because it only comes with 1 controller, that is YOUR FAULT for not buying an additional controller! Hell Apple doesn’t even sell power adapters with their MacBook Pros anymore. Please don’t be put off from buying this product by people who are too cheap to buy the second battery. You use the vacuum until the battery dies (and it really can last an hour) then you swap the battery with the one on the stand and by the time that one is dead, then the original battery is ready to go again! ... show more

  • Finally a Decent Vacuum
I really like this vacuum, I tried the Dyson pet one prior to this and didn't like it. I don't have pets so really didn't need that. This vacuum has good suction and the brush head is small enough to fit under my couch and other furniture. Haven't run out of battery on level 2, so not sure yet if I will invest in a second battery but its nice to know I can. The dust bin cleaning station is pretty cool too, I didn't realize I needed such a thing but it's great! Totally recommend and the price for this combo was a really good deal. ... show more

  • The button on the canister broke twice.
The button that detaches the canister from the vacuum fell off the second time my mom used it, then after a lengthy replacement process the new canister’s button got stuck. It was past its return window because the replacement canister took 2 weeks to get to us. It’s a frustrating and faulty product and I’m hoping Samsung will determine this item is eligible for a refund. ... show more

  • Great handheld vacuum!
My wife loves this thing!!! It's quick and simple to pull out and use with it being on the charge station. It picks up most things with ease on hard surfaces in one or two passes, as long as you're using the soft brush head. The only things somewhat negative things I'd have to say is that the surface the brush heads cover is a little small, but that's to be expected with most handled vacuums. Also, the clean station doesn't always get all of the debris out of the dust bin. Keep in mind, I do have a dog and 2 small children who drop all kinds of sticky things on the floor. ... show more

  • Used Like New shouldn't be broken
It's not that the vacuum doesn't function, but I purchased it as "Used--Like New" with a sellers note that the packaging would be damaged. Sounded okay. But when I opened the package, the first thing I saw was a broken piece off the dust receptacle taped to the inside packaging. Absolutely everything in the package was, in fact, brand new, except the broken dust receptacle casing which had a bunch of dust and animal hair in it. Super gross, and since I'm deathly allergic to cat fur, concerning. I expected better. ... show more

  • Light and Efficient.
Love the stand alone holder which charges two batteries. The vacuum has very efficient suction and what I most like is its great edge cleaning which you do not get on a lot of other stick vacuums. The fact that this comes with a cleaning station is the cherry on the ice cream. Very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Made it less than 2 years...,.....
To the folks I went to HS with (and their parents) who belive the US has become a nation of snowflakes, unwilling to do an honest day's work - Samsung started it. Back in July 2022, I realized I needed a new vacuum for my 650 sq ft apartment. I followed the advice of my family, friends, and random internet strangers and inventoried my needs. At the time, I thought they were fairly modest and more than attainable for $600. My requirements included strong suction, the ability to manage hardwood floors, and a good record of reliability. As the roomie to a cadre of small, anxious rescue dogs, all adopted as seniors, I added low volume and minimal weight as bonus wants. As much as I would have loved a robot vac or something capable of both mopping and vacuuming, after researching available options and their unbelievably high prices, I decided I needed to keep my expectations low. With my list of needs and wants in hands, I took to the internet and read every review I could find - and then I read every review I could find attesting to the trustworthiness of these reviews. After weeks of intensive research, which I distilled into an Excel spreadsheet, I landed on the Samsung Jet 90. I dont think I'm alone in finding it challenging to live on a single income in the 2020s or painful to drop $600 a household appliance. When I made my final decision to buy the Samsung Jet 90, I felt a significant pinch but told myself I was making a long-term investment that would save me time and frustration in the long run. How wrong I was. From day 1, the canister that mounts to the body of the machine and collects debris failed to latch reliably. As a result, halfway through 90% of my vacuuming sessions, said canister randomly clatters to the floor, spewing dirt and dust across my apartment and terrifying its inhabitants. Halfway through the 10% of cleanings in which the canister actually latches, I still have to stop because whoever reviewed my vacuum either lied about the roller's ability to filter hair or received a different machine. After several months of torture, I convinced myself to suck it up (no pun intended) and purchase a new canister and roller...only you can't buy either of these items, here or anywhere else. So if your vacuum doesn't work like it should or seems a little worn out, good luck because, like me, your only option is to replace the $600 machine entirely. And finally, if you're someone with a couple or more thousand square feet of living space, you may be fine with the machine's outsized footprint. If not, it's going to piss you off on a daily basis. More likely than not, you'll trip over one of two things at least twice a week - and if you're me, every day: 1.) The base that's over three times the depth of the roller head because it's designed to store a second battery that costs a ridiculous sum and that, of course, none of us can afford after we've spent our monthly grocery budget on the base model OR 2.) the vacuum body that can't rest in an upright position without crashing to the ground, just moments after you think you've found a way to perch it right...because, without the damn base, the thing might actually fit in a regular hallway or closet. After less than two years, I suspect the vacuum's ceased to work because it's sustained too many falls that - according to Samsung and the folks I went to HS with (and their parents) - is *all my fault.* Never mind how poorly designed, hastily constructed, and flimsy it is or how committed Samsung is to selling products that can't be repaired. Thanks to Samsung, I've spent $600 on a vacuum that's only given me problems for that last year and half +, and I now have to start the vacuum purchasing process all over again. I will never buy from this company again - although, after my last buying experience, I have little hope that any other manufactuer's likely to best them. What a sad world we live in. I hope Samsung's executives and shareholders are ashamed of themselves. ... show more
