This board is very uncomfortable to ride and extremely heavy. If you’re looking for an urban commuter skateboard, I strongly recommend looking at other options and not being fooled by YouTube reviews. Most of the videos you’ll find are made by people who received the board from Meepo (probably free) and only highlight the positives. If you look for critical reviews, you’ll notice they rarely mention the main issues or important information beside what you can read on product description The biggest problem is the ride quality. The stock wheels are very hard, and the trucks provide almost no shock absorption. Riding on sidewalks or normal pavement is very annoying and uncomfortable. Yes, it’s probably great in a skate park—but that’s not the real use case for most people buying this board. Weight is another major issue. The Max version, with the larger battery and longer range, is unbearably heavy. If you plan to carry it around an office, campus, or public transportation, good luck. It’s simply not practical. The board itself runs fine, and the remote control works well—but that should be a given at this price point. Unfortunately, it’s just too expensive for what you get. What ALSO disappointed me is that they sell “better” wheels separately for $149 instead of offering the board with those wheels as an option. This feels like a classic example of company greed. After purchasing the wheels, the ride improved slightly, but it’s still heavy and uncomfortable. I only ride about 2 miles twice a day, and my heels are sore afterward—even when wearing running shoes with good heel support. Bottom line: I do not recommend this board. Learn from my mistake and don’t rely on paid YouTubers for honest feedback.

Mini 3 Max is amazing. I’ve built 3 belt driven 12s6p all terrain longboards and this is equally as fun for a hub motor! The torque is a huuuge step up and feels like midrange belt drive. It will literally pull up under you if you’re not learning enough forward and you full send on gear 4. For a short board with less area for a wider stance the torque is a little dangerous. I love it! My last short board was an Evolve Omakase and this sub $500 Meepo puts Evolve to shame. No more random braking sending me flying!

Beware meepo will lie to you. On my first ride as soon as I started I got an error code. After speaking to customer service they said it wasn't a big deal all it was saying is one of the motors was hot. The problem is the temp was 48° outside and the motor was over heating not even running it at full throttle. It was pulsating, randomly loosing power, and cutting out. After doing my own investigation it had a bad hub motor so I sent it back.

Charger doesn’t work after second use. Do not buy. Meepo sent new charger (waited 5 weeks). Got a new charger and a week later skateboard stopped charging. Customer service is painfully slow. Waisted money. Meepo mini 3 max $422.
