I box dyed my hair black multiple times to cover red so when I used this I had black hair with stubborn red highlights. I’ve been dying to go back to my natural brown shade. It was causing me so much distress and I didn’t want to spend money at a salon to fix it bc I’m broke obvi and I thought about bleaching it but I’m trying to grow my hair out as well. I saw the reviews for this product and purchased it and even though the smell is absolutely foul and criminal, it worked so well I’m shocked. The black is gone and the red has lifted to a brownish orange but I’m not mad at it bc the rest is brown and actually so pretty. I know ppl do it a couple times and I’ve only done it once so far but I might keep it or just go over the orange/gingery sections. I love and I look like a leaf outside in New England rn. AMAZING!!! My hair actually felt SOFTER and healthier SIGNIFICANTLY! When I put dye back on it dried it back out, but then used olaplex #3 overnight and voila. I wish I could have left it after this color remover though because DAMN it was soft as hell. And it lifted evenly and perfectly. It does smell bad, naturally, as all color removers do, but not as bad as Color Oops from the store. I’m SO IMPRESSED!!! Will definitely order this again if needed and HIGHLY recommend. It saved me $300 from going to the salon and lightening my hair with a bleach wash.

I used this product after years of trying to cover my grays with a nice auburn brown. I decided to go Ash Blonde, I know I need to bleach my hair but wanted to make sure I didn't get that uneven dark ends situation I had the last time. I used Salerm Color reverse and I have to say that my hair color did not change much, which makes sense since I'm a natural brunette and its been a year sincee i dyed my hair. After much research I found I have to wait between 48-72 hours to bleach my hair. I also bought a product called "Unred" to add to the bleach to remove any brassiness. I may need to come back and give an update after I bleach my hair. As far as this product goes, aside from the sulfur smell; the product is fantastic. It does exactly what it says it does! Very happy with it!

This product works very well for removing artificial hair color. It helped fade and remove unwanted dye without overly drying or damaging my hair. Easy to use, clear instructions, and professional-quality results at home. Hair felt soft afterward compared to other color removers. Well, it did remove the black Demi dye from my hair but it certainly didn’t restore my hair back to its natural color. My hair is naturally a medium reddish brown and it turned it veryyyy copper. Super light at the base but darker at the ends (mostly out of the light) after two rounds. It definitely was stinky, like sulfur. And my hair still smelled of it after 5 washes with shampoo and a deep conditioning mask. In fact it still smells like it now, 5 days later, after multiple more washes. On the plus side, my hair looks very shiny and doesn’t feel overly processed. I it’s kind of a nice shade for summer too. I mixed equal parts in a bowl. Put on some rubber gloves and worked through sections of my hair, totally saturating it all. I think I would have preferred to start at the bottom up to midway and let that develop a little and finish up the the roots the last 15 mins. I piled my hair atop my head and wrapped foil around it all. I left it for 35 mins to be sure, but the original 25 mins would probably have sufficed. The last 3-5 mins I blow dried the outside of the foil for extra measure. Then I rinsed in the shower, used a clarifying shampoo 5 times because I could still smell that stinky eggy smell in my hair. I was over it at that point and applied a deep conditioning mask for 5 mins. Rinsed with very hot water, then a cold blast. I was anxious to see what the heck I just did, so I applied my usual products and styled. It’s kinda growing on me…

I used this product to remove pink/purple temporary dye from my hair. It's important to note, I have layers of color on my hair (red, blue and pink). This lifted my pink to the blue underneath. I tried to use it a second time to lift the blue/teal but it was unsuccessful! Blue is hard to get out so I don't blame the product. The product is very effective. For those saying it doesn't have a smell, it definitely does. It has not a super chemically smell, but just very "potent." I didn't like it personally, but it's bearable. Please shampoo twice or three times when you rinse this out. It helps get the color out. Use a very good deep conditioning mask because your hair will be dry, not like BLEACH dry but just stringy.
