We purchased the SafeRest Waterproof King Size Mattress Protector to use on our Leopard 40 Catamaran, and it has worked out perfectly. Our bed is an unusual size since it is larger than a queen but smaller than a king and this protector fits it very well. It’s also very easy to put on. You install it just like a fitted sheet, so it goes on quickly and stays securely in place around the mattress. One of the things we really appreciate is how comfortable it is. Unlike some waterproof protectors, it doesn’t make any crunchy or plastic-like noise when you move around. It’s soft and quiet, so it feels just like sleeping on a normal mattress cover. The waterproof feature works exactly as advertised. I accidentally spilled water on the bed, and the mattress underneath stayed completely dry. That alone gives us a lot of peace of mind, especially on a boat where protecting bedding is important. My wife went into labor a year and a half ago and that labor went very quickly....so quickly that she ended up giving birth on our bed in the presence of EMTs. We then went to the hospital where I stayed overnight with my wife and new baby girl. The next day, once things had clamed down, I went home to clean up before they came home. For those who have witnessed or gone through child birth, you know what a mess I arrived to. For those who haven't, suffice to say there are many different types of fluids and a lot of them. Let's just say I was fully expecting to be purchasing a new mattress. To my amazement, once I'd bagged our sheets and this mattress pad, our mattress was perfectly fine. I bought another one immediately and will continue to use this brand as long as it exists. I challenge anyone to put it through a more rigorous test and I'm positive it can stand up to some sweat or your child's pee in the middle of the night. I could have posted a pic but it's better for everyone if I don't.

The SafeRest Twin waterproof mattress protector has provided effective protection for our child's mattress over the past year, successfully preventing multiple spills and accidents from reaching the mattress. The fitted design with stretchable pockets stays securely in place on the twin mattress without shifting or bunching, even with an active sleeper. What works well is the dependable waterproof barrier that has passed every test - from water spills to bedwetting incidents. The liquid beads up on the surface and wipes away easily without any seepage through to the mattress below. This protection gives genuine peace of mind for preserving our mattress investment while dealing with childhood accidents. The machine washable feature is convenient and the protector holds up well through frequent washing cycles. It dries relatively quickly and maintains its waterproof properties wash after wash. The construction feels durable with reinforced seams that show no signs of wear after many laundry cycles. However, there is some trade-off in sleep comfort compared to premium options. This mattress protector has already saved my mattress more than once, which is really the main thing. It fits like a normal fitted sheet and goes on without much trouble. Once it’s on, it stays in place and doesn’t really shift around under the sheets. The top layer feels soft with the cotton terry material, so it doesn’t feel like you’re sleeping on something plastic or crinkly. Under regular sheets, you barely notice it’s there. The waterproof part is what makes it worth it. It’s handled spills and accidents without anything reaching the mattress, which is exactly what you want it for. It’s also breathable enough that it doesn’t make the bed feel overly hot or uncomfortable. It just kind of sits underneath everything and does its job quietly. One thing to keep in mind is that it adds a thin extra layer under your sheets, so the feel of the bed is slightly different, but not in a bad way. Overall, it’s just a simple mattress protector that does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and in my case it’s already proven useful more than once.
