YES IT IS! I purchased this when my fiancé and I got a new mattress. We have 5 dogs and I didn’t want doggo spit up getting on our new bed. I actually got two. A mattress encasement (a 360 zippered cover) and this waterproof one for on top. I didn’t want to be unzipping the encasement off of a California King bed to wash it often. So this one being waterproof and the fitted sheet style was perfect. Easy on and off for cleaning if a dog got sick or we spilt a drink. It’s is also noiseless by the way. So …how waterproof is it? I read so many reviews on these things my eyes went numb. I finally settled on this one. I am glad I did. Never even thought this would be why we would need it. Have you ever seen a woman turn into a squirt gun? Like old school 1985 style one pump equals one squirt… on occasion I am lucky enough to be on the receiving/drinking end of such a wonder. Really doesn’t make too much of a mess. What I didn’t know was my fiancé has the ability to become a wave…tsunami…super soaker. Whatever you want to call it. My goddess geyser also had no clue she had this feature. This sucker held enough wet to soak a bath sheet sized towel! So if you need a waterproof cover, this would be your choice. It is slightly waterproof but you can’t depend on just one. I’m not knocking the product but I will say no mattress protectors out there are 100% water proof if they aren’t plastic. Know body wants to sleep on those plastic sheets. So for comfort we go to these products. I am a mom who has potty training child as well as I frequently bring home dogs in need lol and I let them sleep in bed. Not recommended lol but they have been know. To pee the bed on occasion and so I need mattress protectors that work. I have tried them all they all leak some more then others and some better then others but my advice to everyone do not trust a comfortable mattress protector but double or triple up.
