Drying it is a litttle annoying because it is soooo absorbent, but that's just because it is actually a good cover that absorbs fluids and prevents them from seeping into your mattress.     • Soft & cooling waterproof replacement!
I needed to replace my 2 year old mattress pad that was most certainly waterproof (I spilled a couple cups of coffee myself) but was not very cooling to sleep on. I searched thru MANY on here and read thru countless reviews. While I have yet to have an accident with my coffee as I am infamous for, before I put this on my bed I wanted to wash this obviously. Before I did that I wanted to test the waterproofness. I was a bit nervous about the fact that it had that "rubberized like coating" on the under side of the mattress pad. My other waterproof mattress was soft on both sides, so it may have had that in-between the layers and I was unaware. I used just a glass of water and pored it on and it soaked in a little and soaked into the pad a bit but I couldn't feel it penetrate to the backside so I feel pretty confident that it won't ruin my new mattress by my clumsy self. I also have been very pleased by the coolness of it. The top is very smooth and your sheets fit nicely over the top of this mattress pad. The corners are structured nicely and not lumpy balled up corners for your sheets to go over. I only have a few sets of sheets since obviously you often wash and put back on and don't need that many to hoard up your linen closet, but going into winter I but my "warm" sheets on. With this mattress pad sleeping cool and these sheets that are polar fleece but still breathe, I sleep perfect! ... show more
