bought an oevant rv water heater, well it is defective they sent me a new remote they said would work, it does not work, the heating unit is defective, if i can't get any remedy, i will have no choice but to cancel my account with amazon and consult my attorney, I cannot get any live person to talk to about the problem!

Installed for a week, so far so good. Working great, heats up fast. It comes with a manual, mounting screws, and adapter for gas line. The issue comes with the installation, the dimensions are not 100% correct. The screws are pan head style so they stick out about 1/4 bigger than advertised. I had to notch out to let the screws fit through the frame of the RV.

Edit: Company reached out to me to help diagnose my issue, even offered to fully refund me for having issues with product. Customer service is top notch. Wiring was a bit to figure out with no instructions. Worked flawlessly for a week, after that I’ve had nothing but issues with code “ee” which I couldn’t find on any site to fix. The most frequent issue is it not wanting to heat, has great water pressure and full tanks of propane.

I have waited some time to do this review. I wanted to make sure it did what it was made to do and my experiences with it. The first one I got had to be swapped out which they did. It was a bit timely and hard to figure out contact information with out Amazon help desk. Whom also had a hard time. I feel this should be readily available within the manual. Once we got the new one we got it in and running! since then we have had pretty good flow of hot water. One thing we noticed is in the shower if we use the high presser or strong flow it will get cold and we have to turn the water off and wait a few seconds and turn it back on. This is not a big deal just can be annoying when taking a hot show for ice cold to hit and I would not say its a deal breaker at all. We have not tried yet to swap out faucets but we feel it gets a little confused when trying to turn the cold water on to adjust temp. We started using the remote to adjust to our personal shower preference and just leave the cold side off. Again because it has the remote it's not a deal breaker. Just took time with each member of the family and set the number to what they liked the best. We adjust this when taking showers. easy enough to push the up down arrows. It actually has been found easier then trying to adjust water temp in the shower. Now I wanted to see how it did in Michigan with harsh winters. We purchased this in April 2025 so this was its first winter. All was well and the freeze detection kicked as it needed to but! We faced about 3 weeks of bitter freezing temps this year that gave highs of 15 to lows of -9. It was brutal. So I will give it that. However, we have not been able to get hot water since day 2 of this storm. We had a heater below it and wrap on the inside around the shell of the tank. We have now been out of this storm for about a week and a half and back up to temps that should have thawed anything frozen inside. we have had 3 days of temps from 38 to 50 and it still does not work. We have done research and think the flow sensor went bad and plan to replace this. However! this brand provides very little details on the guts on the inside and we are hoping the stuff we found on similar brands will help guide us through. After we try to fix this, (we can not afford someone to come out) if it does not work we will be seeking other more stable options like building something for a regular water heater. I plan to add what we find and hope that if we get this it can help someone else.

The media could not be loaded. It took a bit to figure out the wiring. Nonetheless I’ve never done any kind of RV installation wiring before. The directions were a bit vague, but with trial and error it WORKED! First time was a shocker….Extremely hot water and quick response time! I first adjusted water temp to 122*, then 118*, then quickly reduced to 112*. For my kids I adjusted at 109* which was perfect temperature for them. Word for wise, it’s not like traditional water temp adjusting the hot and cold simultaneously. Only use the hot water nozzle and adjust your monitor up or down from the display module.
