The clocks have big bold numbers and hands, making it easy to read from across a large room. The hands are typically very thin metal that easily bends, so be very gentle. The hour/minute/second hands were slightly bent downward and touching the clock's face ever so slight,ly causing the time to run slow and/or stop. It was an easy fix, just use a flat head screwdrive and carefully pry off the black backing, it won't damage the clock. Using your finger, gently pull the hands up slightly so it does not touch the face. Also make sure there is even spacing between all 3 hands so they don't touch each other. Carefully snap the backing back onto the white clock frame. Use the round dial on the back of the clockwork to rest the time. Although the clocks are lightweight and feels cheaply made...which it is...it actually looks very nice and stands out. ... show more

Well constructed easy to read clock. Came with a hanger. Uses a double A battery. Now maybe my son can stop asking me what time it is if he learns how to read a clock. The public school system has failed to provide him with that and he has graduated from high school with honors and no ability to tell time. I have advised him to Google how to read the clock so hopefully that will work out for him. Clocks stopped working in just over a year. They will run sometimes for half a day, sometimes for a couple hours. Tried different types of batteries nothing. Disappointed to say the least.

My son hung one on the bedroom wall of my 6 year old grandson's bedroom so he gets used to the times the clock shows when he gets up and goes to bed, etc. I kept one to use for time telling practice at my house.
