Purchased these for the office lunchroom. They match our black rubbermaid bin in dimensions and look very clean once you buy a lid for it. THE LIDS ARE SOLD SEPARATELY! As long as you read the product description you know what you're getting.

I purchased three of the Blue "Recycling" Containers for our church fellowship hall. Although they are the perfect size for our use, they did not have the recycling logo as depicted in all of the images. Disappointed!

Great recycling container, doesn't take up a lot of space. I purchased the lid with this, and couldn't be happier with it. Love the little lip that holds the garbage bag in place. Holds quite a few cans. Was difficult to find one of these that didn't cost a fortune that went with the can/bottle lid... ... show more

    • this is not Rubbermaid 3569-73
I bought 5 of these thinking they were Rubbermaid product number 3569-73. What I actually got was Rubbermaid 3569-88 (as evidenced from the embossment on the bottom). Yes they apparently make the "-88" in blue now. The "-73" has PCR (post consumer resin) plastic and typically retails for 20 to 40% more. "-88" is in Rubbermaid's "Untouchable" line and usually retails cheaper. Amazon's page for this is ambiguous. You will find a part number: "FG356973BLUE", but then you will see "Untouchable" in the title. Faced with having to return 5 large boxes I wondered whether I could make do with "-88". I called Rubbermaid customer support and the girl there said one cannot tell the two types of plastic apart just by look and feel. (I thought the PCR plastic would be more like the kind found in the large Toter (tm) Greenstone trash containers, which I really like. I guess not.) So beware, if PCR means a lot to you. It doesn't, now, to me. This is still probably a good product. I'm just sour that I really didn't get the deal/plastic I thought I would. ... show more

I recently purchased this bin to help conquer the "recycling pile" that was accumulating in my kitchen (they only collect every other week). And this is no ordinary pile. Imagine Gatorade and bottles, broken-down cardboard boxes, and assorted soup cans piled halfway to the ceiling. I was beginning to fear that the pile would, at some point, become sentient and form a giant Voltron-like being, chasing us and my cats around the house until eventually devouring everyone whole.
